Say you did 2 viewings and wanted to maximize your chances of getting the apartment, can you make 2 offers at the same time? Because if I only can make one, and get rejected in few days time, the other one will most likely be gone at that point. What did you do in these situations?

You’re wrong about taxes. It’s 50% over 69k income. Meaning your income above 69k is taxed with 49.50%. Below that it’s 37.35%. As a Dutch man I’m appalled by this nonsense expats spout about taxes being high. It also pays for all the things you enjoy here. And then you also get a ridiculous cut as well because you’re an “expat”. It’s nonsense that people who haven’t invested anything get a tax cut. They should pay more.

The sink in the bedroom is classic old Dutch housing. There used to be no showers, so people would have a sink in their bedroom. Removing it would mean altering the plumbing, which is a lot of work so that is why. Also the "fake" fireplace is just a closed up real fireplace, there is still a smoke column behind it.

30 min to city center means you are not living in Amsterdam. Appartement in Amsterdam center start around 2000. Living in center is beautiful and really nice.

Amsterdam is awesome so are the people and the cycling infrastructure is the gooderest in the world.
