I can tell you, passenger side last nut was not the issue but driver side I had to cut the hole as well. Now I need the idea how to to pay 130 CAD for new retainers and put square neck bolts where my studs broke.

I had a 1976 VW Rabbit and you could change the heater core on that thing very easily. I mean, the whole under dash was wide open - primitive times.

Amazing focus to details origination of critical thinking skills top notch for the dismantling. The whole reason was able to get my c4 was due to failure and leak in cab which had it parked during last winter. Should be a lot better now with which tools 🛠️ are needed.

Your tip on how to remove the hazard switch by using the screwdriver on top and pressure pushing up on the backside had mine out in under a minute. Using the jumper technique I was able to determine that my hazard switch was bad. I’d replaced it once already about a year ago. Surprised it went bad already. Thank you for this video . I gave you a thumbs 👍 up . Every video I've seen on uTube ....NEVER showed how to actually take out the regulator, they would show the videos leading up to the removal and they'll say , I'll remove the regulator and I'll be back and they would stop the video and then show the regulator installed but wouldn't never film the removal or the installation. They surely wouldn't be successful in the filming industry for sure .

You are a hero. Thank you for posting this. It is not necessary to pry away the wiring harness. The bracket that the harness attaches to can be removed from the front bumper assembly with just a couple of 7mm bolts.

i have read online that a lot of people say that you need to have stainless sleeves installed in the cylinders for o-ring type seals. No one can actually tell me why and I can't see why it would be necesssary if the orignal cylinders are in good condition, not pitted, scord etc. What are your thoughts?

Hey there!! I have a 88 convertible and also a 1969couse 350/350 4spd. I know this video is 6 years old, but i wanted to THANK YOU for mentioning the orifice tube and a good visual to get the orientation. I am ini the middle of converting the 88 to r134and was under the shed after dark and i grabbed the orifice and snatched it out with a good pair of needle nose pliers, but it fell out of my pliers and i as unable to determine the direction. Been looking since since yesterday and even corvette forums, no one mentioned the orifice. again THANK you for helping out!!!

The parking break isnt a poor design. Its specifically designed that way so you can enter and exit the car without the parking break up and in your way.

I was interested in purchasing a rebuild kit for my 77 Vette. it’s been some time since you did your video, do your rebuild kits now come with O-ring instead of the umbrella seals? If they do, what’s been your experience with those verses the older umbrella seals?
