I love this, it looks beautiful ❤ subscribed😊😊!!!
no disrespect here... but why did you skip showing what stiches to go in on the side.. im a beginner ad now ive spent 2 hours and now i cant figure it out
You need any help ?
I didn’t understand that the 22 rows was all the way around, after watching it a few times since yesterday I was like aaaaaah that’s it! 😂😂😂😂 I didn’t understand the instructions and I’ve been crocheting for a few years 😅
You talk way too fast! Even backing up and listening again, it was too hard to understand how to do the cluster stitch
I made mine!!! It turned out so adorable!!!! I love it!! Mine was a bit shorter onthe sides than I wanted, so I just added some horizontal rows!!!!! Thank you for sharing!
I love this pattern ❤ thank you for sharing
this tutorial actually sucks
I love it. Super easy to follow. I do find that I need to do at least another 5-10 rows for the bonnet top if I want it to cover my ears
i love love love your patterns!! they are truly beginner friendly and easy to follow all while being also suuuper cute!! i‘ve already made the polly pocket pouch (love!) and now i‘m knitting these as a christmas gift for my mom. thank you for putting out these amazing patterns for free!! <3 greetings from germany 🙌
If you do 1 skein of bulky yarn would it be comparable?
love the tutorial thanks girl! the yarn is gorgeous too!
I used two 4 weighted yarn with a 6mm hook and it’s so small!! What am I doing wrong 🤣
Maybe try increasing the amount of rows you’re doing, or even using a heavier yarn. I used weight 6 yarn for this pattern with a mm smaller hook and the project worked up nicely. Hopefully you can get your perfect bonnet!
Thanks for the video, I was able to do it so quickly even though I've never crocheted before! I've seen this style called a jibber in vintage patterns and had been wanting to make one for a while!
See when I have 44 stitches around the rectangle chain 1 and turn do I go into all the back loop of the 44 stitches chain 1 and turn for 22 rows??
Yes
THIS IS THE BEST AND EASIEST TUTORIAL EVER. i made 2 bonnets today and i'm obsessed with how they came out!
Omg I love this! I wanna do this but add a scarf and make it into a scarf hood!
I want to do the same! Any tips? :)
Thank you fornthe video. The patter was really quick and easy to follow. The bonnet fits perfectly and I can't wait to wear it out ☺️
Thank you for this tutorial!! Made my bonnet last night and it came out perfect
Love love love all your videos, please keep creating!
you speak a little fast which is confusing for non_english users but the tutorial is so easy thank you ❤ anyway
could you add measurements please? 🙏🥺 I’m only maybe 1/4 way through the body but I’m already thinking it may be too small even though my gauge was the same as yours 😢
i had the same issue! i feel like my yarn wasn’t as bulky so i had to add extra rows to the length and the rim of the bonnet
Would you consider making a video tutorial for the it girl scarf? I really want to try it but I’m having trouble understanding the pattern! Love your channel so much and am so excited to keep seeing what you create!
can you please help us with the measurements? I used 6mm hook and did everything following the tutorial but mine came out so small, I don’t know what to do!!
I downloaded her written pattern and her 4” gauge was 13x13. I want mine bigger than hers so I think I’m gonna aim for a 10 or 11 instead of 13. Maybe even 9. Hope this helps!
How many total yards of fabric do you use?
Can we make the bow thicker?
Ah this is so cute!!! I wish there was a crochet version of this
Great tutorial! Just finished and it came out perfect
So cute!! How much does the initial chain measure abouts? Wanting to use a yarn other than mohair
Thank you so much for this pattern!!🥰
Beginner here, I made this last night! It came out super cute, thank you for sharing! ❤
It goes a bit fast the tutorial, but it turned out great!!!
Thank you !! This is so goood
You don't have to cut the yarn at every end!! Just bring it up to the next row, it'll still be an unfinished edge but its easier to crochet the border over that, rather than all those cut ends
I've made 2 so far. Changed up the pattern slightly to accommodate a smaller hook size and love them both <3
You are very fast couldn't follow u
You can slow the video speed down if it’s too fast for you
When you click the video there’s a little gear button at the top right, click that and then click play back speed.
@WhimsicalCrochet I tried but still as begginer need a slower video but it's sad because yours is cute
@WhimsicalCrochet thank you anyways 🥰
@@Autumniafairyyou can also just look up the written pattern
you look great in it, like a real fairytale heroine <3
Is it possible to make a striped version of this, switching colours? Is carrying the yarn through each row a good idea? How do you recommend doing this?
thank you for this!! <3
Did this turn out literally infant-sized for anyone else?? I tried starting over with an 8mm hook, and still no luck ):
Try chunkier yarn. I doubled all stitches using a 5,5 mm hook and simple yarn
@@yuliianikolaieva59 Sorry I wanted to try this as a beginner! Can you elaborate what doubling stitches mean? Like it she used 12 chain increase it 24?
@ffern-re8hx I will try to start my base with 24 chains instead of 12. I will double all the stitches. I am using 4ply yarn and 4mm hook. I will update this thread once I finish my project. Edited: I don't recommend doubling up the stitches. It will be way too big!!! What I recommend is to add half of what the tutorial did. She did 12ch for the base, add half (6), it will be 18ch. Then she did 16 rows, add half (8), it will be 24 rows. Mine's still a WIP. Again, I will update this comment.
@@jenne3582 Oh thank you for your prompt reply! Please do share your progress! Let us know how it turned out :DDD
@@jenne3582that’s what I did! I did 18 for the base and the rest I just kept checking how it fits on my head! It’s also worth to consider the frame rows too so that it doesn’t turn out too big.
I’m having a difficult time with this for some reason
This is my first time making a bonnet, such a simple and quick project. 💛☺️
Hey thank you for the tutorial How much yarn are you using? Does the material matter (cotton or acrylic) and what size is the yarn? Also sorry for so many questions i'm a beginner amd just needed to make one for me as i moved to a colder place amd it's almost winter amd your bonnet was just what i needed
In another comment she says the yarn is "air" by DROPS, which is a medium weight alpaca yarn. I think if you wanted it to be a similar texture on a budget you should use a size 4 acrylic. I say this because alpaca and acrylic are both quite soft. If you wanted to make something suuuper soft I would go with mohair, but it's a little harder to work with mohair as a beginner, and is usually a lot thinner. The yarn she's using also has a percentage of wool in it, but I personally wouldn't use straight up wool for this project because it can be really itchy if you wear it without something underneath. But wool is also the warmest of all the materials I mentioned 😚 hope this helps
@zoerose3478 omg thank you so much for all the explanation🥹🩷 i was so confused with all the materials and stuff bless you for saying wool's itchy cause i had a super cute yarn with wool mixture and had no idea what in it made my skin super irritated and yes acrylic is the only yarn i can afford so now i know it's ok with the same weight to use it instead of athers yarn thank you and god bless you One more questions if it's not too much 🥺 how much (meters/yards/..) would i need to buy cause same weight acrylic skeins have differenf amiunt in them and when people say this many skeins idk how much would be enough and have so many halfed projects for it!
@@user-yt2fz7um2xno problem at all! <3 if you google "how much yarn do I need" the first result is a really good chart that shows how many yards you would need (depending on yarn weight) for different projects like a hat, a sweater, or a blanket ^_^
I don't know what's going on I used the same yarns and crochet hook and it turned out very small. It doesn't even cover ears
same!! it’s so small, almost for a child .. i will try to block it😢
i had the same issue 😢 thought i just had a big head. i sized up the yarn and followed the pattern exactly again and it fit a lot better :)
@ I washed the bonnet in warm water with soap and then wrung out the water. it has stretched and now fits well. but I still had to add a couple of rows without expanding on the top part lol
@@luparker8360it all depends of yarn, your calculations. If it’s smal it means that your yarn is thinner or you’ve messed with numbers, and also as once Woman said in the comment section “wash and stretch it” while it’s wet.
I also found this to come out incredibly small! What I ended up doing was using two 4oz yarns with the same hook size that the maker is using, but did 16 stitches by 22 rows for the top. To build out the sides, I did 11 rows, then reduced each row after that by 1 to 2 stitches to make it less boxy for a total of 22 rows. I then framed the front with double crochets. I also did everything as a whole piece instead of clipping the yarn. Hope that helps!
Hi! I knit the body of the bonnet but am failing miserably at crocheting the edges. Do you think I could pick up the stitches and do 1x1 ribbing for the trim instead? Also a beginner knitter here. Thank you!
You could try an icord edge? That’s what I might do because I want the border to be a little thicker
@ oh that’s smart! And sounds faster too
This tutorial is awesome tysm!!! I’ve been looking for a simple but super cute bonnet pattern and this is exactly what i was looking for :) i loved using two different yarns too, i never think to do that but it looks epic and also made it super warm!
I’ll be trying this as a beginner! Hopefully it turns out well enough to wear 😅
this is so cuteee. in pakistan they we do this with jasmine or roses. you have made me want to pick up knitting!
Can’t wait to make one 💖
Can you make a crochet version please? 😢
I made a crochet version and it's fairly simple. I made a crochet I- cord, used tunisian crochet for the knit look part, and used her crochet scrunchie tutorial for the ruffles part. Also used a single crochet as opposed to the slip stitch to join the knit part that covers the I- cord . Hope this helps.
Hi! where is your yarn from?
