Theres a lot of administrative work that goes on that I think a lot of aspiring engineers don't necessarily always think about.. Let's talk about it!

Your panels aren’t level. You should use a laser level.

it'd be cool to see slideshows, video previews or even just pictures of the plugins you're mentioning and the specific features pop up on screen for a more visual watching experience!

Cool to hear some echos, and your personal tastes. Admittingly finding the sweet spot of the limiter at the end of a production is the longest song and dance. I'll have to give your way a try! Like everything in engineering, you'll get mixed opinions on things. I try to avoid "always" and "never"

How would you try and get headroom when you have a bassy two track beat for hip hop, from two track without you sacrificing the volume when clip gaining the original beat? cause i use a VU meter on mixbus to -1.5db but still clips overboard

I do this 100% of the time. Even while tracking my DI's or recording/programing any track. I was doing it before I knew what it was called. At the bare minimum I like to record and or mix into a limiter just to boost the level a bit.

What about sending a mix with watermarks that appear couple of times throughout a song? And then sending a clean mix after the payment is done? I think, this could be a great solution too. Maybe put one in the middle of the song so that artist are not able to cut it out but its also let them enjoy the rest of the song and really understand that the mix is truly done.

Totally valid! I now have a system that works for me. But if that works for you, then go it! 💯

As an artist I can honestly say it’s an honour to work with Ty and please don’t screw him over. I hate people😂😂why? Why are people like this. I don’t understand the mentality of not paying someone for their work. They’re not working for free.

One thing you said isn't totally true, people will hire you if they see expensive gear on your instagram, in capitalism people associate stuff you can buy with success. But you must deliver, if you don't deliver word goes around and you stop getting the necessary quality of work you need to keep up the costs (this if you're not a trust-fund kid as most people who has stuff-only-money-can-buy nowadays). I also know some studios that are pretty low quality with loads of gear that survives out of service mode advertising agencies for government and stuff like that.
