Sorry this one took a while, I was trapped in a painting for most of the last month

Obviously it depends on your style but for me (If I had a max prestige fighter) I'd go predator(unequipped) and bulldog (for punch power and chin), laser focus for 5 star punch power, weathering storms to unlock carved of wood,. I'd also buy but not equip skirmisher for 5 star footwork, wake up call and grinder for 5 star recovery,. For the last slot I'd probably grab to your feet to help with getups on the cheap.

You're right, I missed that one. Hopefully the only oversight. I never take untouchable for that reason. 3.5 is enough to get by. Body rocks are the result of getting hit while vulnerable, not poor body strength.

I cannot say for sure whether perks put stats over 100. No official info exists. Those 3 perks are absolutely some of the best. FH and LF are just straight-forwardly good. Wrestle Clinic is great value for the evo points in OCM.

That's a neat idea, but I can't put out as many videos these days and I already have the next few plotted out. I'm sure many people would like to see a 4k point build in action though, you should consider recording a video and posting it yourself. It's easier than you think, even if you just record from your console and upload it without editing. If you do so feel free to come back and post a link to it on my next video, which should be dropping in a couple days.

I would have just reposted the old one but I lost it. I do think a basic breakdown of stats/perks/moves is needed for OCM players.

Yeah I would rather have it max out at like 10 prestige. You've got a real problem if you max prestige 4 fighters in this mode.

I'm not the guy to make a mauler build, I'm too in love with kickboxing and really only grapple when the strategy dictates it. I also won't be able to make many new videos for the foreseeable future so I'm sorry I can't get that one done. I hope someone else can put together that build for a video.

That's great progress for a month, it always helps me to have a grasp of the numbers to make builds. It takes a long time to really learn these games, i've been playing for a few years and i'm still not a master. Happy hunting!

Block advantage is the bonus to damage you get after blocking certain shots. When you block a shot to the body you gain a counter window for an uppercut. When you block a hook or overhand on your lead hand side you get a left hook counter.

@@Yawkley thanks. So block advantage is only available for body strikes and lead hook strikes, correct? I’m trying to work on my striking defense. I have the most problems with pressure fighters (block breaking) and defending the body.

@@KillxShot_330 Yes that's my understanding, but to clarify I mean any round punch that lands on YOUR lead hand side, which then allows you to return a lead hook. So in an orthodox vs orthodox matchup (closed stance) you get the counter against your opponent's rear hook. In an open stance (southpaw vs orthodox) you get the counter against the lead hook. Defending against pressure is an expansive subject and once everyone has to figure out in their own way. it's not mean't to be easy

Personally I would probably go 4 and 4, but if you're looking to finish fights in the 1st then 4.5 chin, and 3.5 recov is probably the move. 3.5 recovery saves you from having to buy a bad perk,. Recovery gets better as each round goes on but Chin is more important the more aggressive you are.

@Yawkley is that 50 recovery perk the same as putting a half star into recovery? Youre the man for always answering

@@TimeOutNow45 Wake Up Call is a half star but only during health events, recharger is a half star but only between rounds. I don't really love either perk but you need wake up call to hit 4 star recovery.

@Yawkley there's so many perks that are overpriced.. slam boost? So, they're banking on people not having enough points in body? Totally not worth the massive points.

@@TimeOutNow45 Definitely, I think the perk system could have used a complete overhaul. The costs in online career are not balanced well at all.

Well yes and no I guess. Most takedowns are easy to defend but takedowns don't cost too much stamina and you can shoot over and over til you get it. IF you have elite ground game you might only need to hit 1 out of 10. The clinch is particularly easy to abuse in this respect. Some takedowns, like the back take out of the double leg bail and on the fence are reasonably strong. and a well timed takedown that gets you under a hook is nearly guaranteed. I would be fine with making takedowns harder to defend if failed takedown attempts cost a bit more stamina. But stamina is it's own kettle of fish

I don't think it affects speed or stamina. Higher combo levels let you throw more combos. Straight-lead body hook-lead hook is a lvl 4 combo (iirc) so you can't throw it if you have level 3 boxing combos

I'm not too worried about that, i'm just reuploading older videos for now.

@Yawkley I'd also venture into other games aswell. Ufc5 has a small playerbase. On online career I play the same 30 people over and over

I have some non OCM vids to reupload. I'm glad you like them but looking back these all could have been much better

I'll be trickling them out over the next couple weeks. Not all of the old vids, and I do feel the need to add timestamps and whatnot so I can't do them all at once.

I'm still nowhere near 30 prestige myself. Thanks for the kind words. I had a lot of people ask me about reuploading my old OCM videos so I finally broke down and did it.
