No problem, Andrea, it’s my pleasure to answer questions. You should include: The name of the product - so if they like it, they know what to ask for. The ingredients - if you have the space, just in case someone may have allergies, they can read it to see if there are any issues. Your website or phone number-so they can contact you or place an order. This is the most important part because if they love it, you want them to be able to get in contact with you again. Also, pro tip: I try to get the person's information every time I give out a sample. I say, “ Do you mind if I give you a sample to try? “When they say, “Sure. “Then you say, “OK, and let me get your number or email (with whatever one you prefer) so I can follow up to see how you liked it. Then, actually follow up. If they say no, you can't have my info-that's okay, too. But you shouldn’t get any too often because they understand you are giving them something. The sample costs money to make, so at least let them “pay” with their information.

I pray that your heart and ears are open to His voice🙏🏽 I recommend letting those who love and support you know what you sell. They are not expected to remain long-term customers, but their initial purchase can get the ball rolling. Next, I recommend you use social media (Instagram, Facebook, UA-cam, and TikTok). It’s free and a great way to document your journey. Pray the Lord leads you on which one to start with as a main platform and what you will post there. Also, gather emails from people who buy or display interest in shopping with you in the future and build your email list. Don't neglect local markets, fairs, and events. I have samples available (small samples). I will make a video on how I make mine. So subscribe and turn on the notification. You may find the video helpful. Regarding the names, I use both Biblical names and regular names based on the ingredients-either works. I always use the soap and pray, so add this to your prayer as well. I was wondering is it okay to leave mini examples of products in any kind of stores. For example leave soap or massage oils in cosmetis salons or barber shops etc Sorry if Im asking too much

You don't have to apologize. I'm here to answer questions as best I can. When you say, “Is it okay?” Whose standpoint are you speaking from because you’re the business owner? You make your own rules and marketing strategy. If you mean from the salon owners' perspective, I would definitely suggest speaking with them and letting them know your idea.

@@therealnoblewoman Yes you are right. I mean not all beauty salons or hairsalons want even take to consider your product. I mean some products as soaps even a totaly different store will take and marketing you ,like Photo studios or regular Pattiserie cookie store. From opinion of yours, how small should be sample products ? Is it ok to request a litlle review , so they can tell you which is the best ,and to contact you? Or just leave a contact? Whether that's soap, candle, or the other items you mentioned - choose one, and if you like it, make a little more for family and friends to get their feedback. Then, submit your plans and ideas to the Lord and, as you said, wait to hear how and what He leads you to do. Also, don't spend a lot of money upfront. As I said - make things you need and use them first. What country do you live in?

Hello Talisa! Great question. Please don’t be scared of the lye. The fact that you are slightly afraid lets me know that you will take the necessary precautions. Gloves and protective eyewear are a must. Wearing long sleeves and closed-toe shoes would also be helpful. I hope I’m not making it worse lol. This started out as a homeschool project, and my (at the time) 9, 10, and 14-year-olds all did fine-no burns and I’m confident you will do fine, too! Okay, now to your question. If the recipe called for 10 grams of water, to do the 50/50 water and ice, you would divide the number by 2 and do half water and half ice. So you would measure 5 grams of ice and then add the remaining 5 grams of water in the same container, making it 10 grams because the ice will melt into the water anyway. So, for your example, if the recipe calls for 5 grams of water - you would use 2.5 grams of water and 2.5 grams of ice to meet the required 5 grams. Also, I like to put a paper towel down and then the scale when measuring out the lye just in case there is a little spillage. Let me know if this helps and if you have more questions!

Thank you! I use the Unscented or the Rose Water & Chamomile the most. What really helps is my Rose Water Mist and the Rosehip Oil. I use them everyday. Once I start using all 3 it made a huge difference.

@@tallyjacobi5247 thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Castile soap can have a longer curing time depending on the recipe you use. Before I actually started making it I heard it could take 6 months to a year to cure however I have never experienced that. I use salt, which really helps to harden the bar, and I've found that it makes it ready to use in a few days, just like other soaps. I will say castile soap and maybe other kinds, like wine or cheese, get better as they age. There are bars that, for one reason or another, sat for a year, and when I tell you 👏🏽👏🏽there was such a difference in the lather!!!! So, I will say they don't need a year to cure fully and are safe to use, but they perform better the longer they sit. I hope this answer is helpful.
