Deo Vindice Southern People! Never be ashamed of your heritage!
They were purveyors of slavery. You’re proud of that notion?

Mark The articles of succession from the states and the cornerstone speech from Alexander Stephens made it clear that slavery was the cornerstone of their actions.
@@fullmontycarlo what does that have to do with honoring our ancestors? Everyone had slaves at one point or another.... why only the south get hated for it? Even if my ancestors owned slaves (which they didn’t) I’d still honor them for fighting for what they believed in...

Thank your for your time Ta Tiana. You are a very kind spirited woman, and I want to tell you I respect and appreciate you letting my voice be heard. We need to stand together as a Nation, under God as Americans. I believe with my heart and soul that we should embrace our History, all ancestors of all nationalities, and all of our shortfalls as One Nation, so that we may learn compassion, and trust for one another. Abolishment was in progress before the war, the core problem was integrating the hard working African, and Native slaves into society without disrupting the economy. Many slaves were being taught literacy and Christianity illegally by the "white oppressors". As a person of both Cherokee, and Confederate ancestry I implore everyone to research the "Cherokee Declaration of Causes". May God Bless you all.
