this band was my very first concert i seen in my life , i was 14's , just in 1974 .....
Super duper vibes , I'm always delightful watching them play. May the departed souls rest in peace . ( Mark Tonto, Teddy Osei and Kiki Djan.)
One of the hardest working bands of the early 70s!
Watching Ian Carr's interview, man, what a blues voice he had - and never sang!
Einfach geil!
Whoever directed this video deserves an oscar
Great! What's the name of the song that starts at 3:20 ?
Saw them a lot throughout the 70s, mainly at festivals, quite a privilege!
My friend, Bernt. I miss you.
Jazz Canterbury. The UK Miles
27:00 ka E ditta??
Who’s the drummer? Hes superb
Bryan Spring
SPARTACUS
Now watching the 1971 video in 2024, it comes to my mind that how young and full of happiness and energy all of them were. Now from some recent photos and videos, Teddy Osei and Dell Richardson look quite senior. May God bless them with long life and good health. Sad to note that some of the group musicians especially Sol Amarfio has already left the world.
es una falta cuando estas escuchando a nucleus y te meten un anuncio - sociedad de consumo !

Since the halcyon days of the seventies, Osibisa’s rhythms have been the soundtrack to our lives. Huddled in a friend’s living room, we were entranced by the pioneering beats of ‘Osibisa’ and ‘Woyaya’ -albums that became our anthems. Fast forward to today, and their live performance still pulsates with that same vibrant energy. However, it’s a bittersweet note to find that the visual storytelling fell short. This was more than a concert; it was a legacy in the making. Yet, the lens through which we’ll remember this moment didn’t capture the grandeur it deserved -a poignant reminder of the power of preserving art for posterity.
MY FAVOURITE BAND MEMBER LOUGHTY LASSISI
It's 50 years ago when I played this album on cassette and kept playing it even in reverse as encore and my recently departed Mom used to say it will snap sooner because of overplay. 😅😅😅😅❤❤🎉🎉 From South Africa
So good!!
Oh how I miss these times
Must have a blast to see .. Sometimes I wish the camera guy would just film the show . This choppy back I forth to the beat crap is not cool … 🕊🇺🇸💯
Fantastic!
Nice solo from Coste. If you check out a track like Mental Oil from his Surprisingly Heavy album, it's hard to believe the guy who made that bone crushing sledge hammer is the guy who did the acoustic duos w/ Tolonen or the player in this clip.
I am so privileged to have been able to listen to Osibisa for the last 50 years. Fantastic!
the real groove!😍 10 e lode al maestro e agli altri musicisti!
Ikke akkurat tonedøv, tonestum eller noe annet enn den beste på altsaxen i Norge forever! Callle, calle calle speak or call once more again! You are wellcome!
Calle; An innovator!!!
Mi primer Long Play fue de Osibisa❤
Mighty great😮
The bass solo into drums is punk af
Watch the bass guitarist Spartacus.. My favourite... Shailendra Singh from Brisbane Australia
❤
Какав екипа,Дрим тим.
Loistava!
Super-clear period film of British jazz rock. Quite laid back music, but the drummer is superb.
Wonderful Band

This is amazing
Exceptional line-up with Pekka Pohjola on bass instead of Ilkka Hanski, who played most of the time in this 1977-78 line-up.
I bought their first album (starts with "the Dawn") and I love Iko bia bia and Who's Got the Paper 👍👍👍💯💯💯✔✔✔

Terence blanchard's recent E-Collective could learn stuff from this, nearly 5 decades later!! fab - always loves Spring's drumming - outstandingly creative, but so light too! (jd beck should give him a listen too!)
