Thank you for the love! Stoked you enjoyed it and excited for your thoughts on the EP. As for what you mentioned about the "alternative" label I do believe the word in itself should still carry the same weight it does and I also listen to many understood alternative or grunge bands myself, including Nirvana like you mentioned. I do believe that when you pair it with a genre it takes on more of a literal definition as just "not what you'd regularly hear of this genre" or similar to "not mainstream" although speaking more to the style and sound instead of the culture and popularity such as 'underground' would mean. In this case, I consider this song and the EP mostly dark trap though I tie in some alternative rap to it as I feel some of the EP does take after actual rap elements as well, not just speaking to the beat essentially. You'll def hear more of that in the EP though. 🤝🏼

Nice show! Really digging last 2 bands although nobody was bad. Interesting how last band has almost jazzy sound of drums... kind of muffle sound (don't know correct word). Great videos too from Joanny Ray and Undead. Keep them coming.

Amazing episode! Really cool bands, very high overall quality and just a neat mix! Life's Torment had a really TRVE oldschool vibe, but mixed it up with more modern and ferocious elements; like if Nails had started in the '80s...? That Diuretic track+video was just a delight, 5/5 lol. Trepidation were absolutely killing it, like a an old gem from some forgotten '90s Earache release and their drummer was an absolute beast! Damn fine song too. In ~three years all the losers that skipped out on the show in the video are gonna be saying they were there and moshed it up... Palms to the Sky and Beaver Teeth were impressive as well, really ambitious, complex and interesting arrangements and visuals, and great music as a foundation for all of it: As things should be! 👍

Such a phenomenal EP and its insane hearing and seeing how successful Jacob becomes in his vocals & his own design with the videos and such more and more with each release. Absolutely crushing and relentless delivery. Loved the music and the video especially. Sidenote its crazy seeing Jacob sending you his first shot MV when I'm going to be sending you my own first shot MV as well in the coming month. Killer stuff. Love your review of it as well dude. As always I appreciate all your feedback! And love that you really dig the music, the direction of Svnken and how masterfully Alex put it all together, especially the eeriness, which was exactly what I had in mind. Length wise, I think downtempo works best in 2-3min tracks, beyond that it feels a little repetitive, especially with as limited as my vox are (although I did try to push myself more than usual on this EP). Also, as a one-man artist, I have to employ others to finalize my vision, and boy does it get expensive. Sometimes a single here and there is more feasible, as much as I'd love to do an album again, like Moon Devoured's Slow Death
