All the sweats are in A5 plus right now If anyone is still in D at this point of release, then they are 100% in the same boat as you, meaning you will have fun games until you hit high B. If you wait any longer you'll miss it out on being able to fight like minded randoms. Which is arguably the most fun experience about this game.

My issue is cheaters already. I keep playing lag switchers I have my settings set to 5 and I either have no issue or I basically can't move but they can no problem.

Please release a gameplay of your Roshi story when it's done, this sounds so interesting

It kinda annoys me that people defend it by saying “I don’t want to see the story for the 100th time”. Because not everyone has. And even if the wanted to condense the story, that’s fine but the slideshow literally ruin some some scenes like Krillins death on Namek. Besides there’s a lot more than Z. We could’ve gotten a Dragon Ball story (and more characters) or a GT story (and more characters) or storylines based on the movies. If the only content that they are going to put work into is What Ifs, they should at least be easier to access. This game has so many short comings as a video game that people just ignore it because they’re fans of the IP

For me. The mechanics are great. Huge bugs. Missing alot of characters. (Like ape form for all the base saiyans with trials) as a starter. I dont like how they made the story mode. If we got Budokai Tenkaichi version of the story we'd beable to fly around the world, going to areas for the episodes, it was super cool. Not having that is a HUGE downside.

Okay so I took your advice and turned off the accessibility mode options and you were 100% correct I was barely able to take on weak enemies before and now I am beating normal enemies with no effort. Well with little effort so yeah you were 100% correct on that one. I have a slow reaction time, and I can not keep track of more than 4 or so buttons at a time. If a game is fast paced, looking away to read the UI can mess me up. I cannot reach the skill ceiling of some games, especially fighting games. I completely agree with you, and I wish that more games considered this sort of thing in their design.

“A lot of content” is very subjective imo.. I have 40 hours in the game and got plat/100% and now I’m kind of stuck on what to play. Online Ranked is a bit broken right now with the meta (in high ranked) being “Switch characters until the time runs out” or “Spam afterimage strike characters till it works” and offline is just too easy for me personally. Yeah bonus battles are cool and all but they lose their flare real quick. Don’t even get me started on the limited stages and mid tourney mode. Only 8 participants?? I literally finished all the tourneys on Super difficulty in like 30 minutes. All in all I’m scared to give the game an 8/10 as people seem to think that this is the most perfect game ever created.

Budokai Tenkaichi 2 has always been my favorite! I remember always taking the game's manuel with me to junior high school! Remember in Kingdom Hearts 2 when Sora, Donald, and Goofy went to visit Captain Jack Sparrow? Sora, Donald, and Goofy looked like cartoons but the world looked real. I bet that's the vibe this game gives off.

This may be a hot take, but I hate the fact that the good music is walled off by pay and I might actually have bought it if it had some of the Falconer music... perticularly the no lyric Budokai 3 intro

Hot take: the menu and the UI actually suck. The main menu is cool but it's also slow. The in game menus are so bare bones and the story maps are hella unresponsive. Plus in the story mode, if you accidentally select an episode you didn't want, you have to wait through a load AND watch the entire first animation before you can quit.

My issue with the DragonBall fan base or the issue with fans of this game in particular is if you say anything negative about the game itself you are met with rabid fan boys who say "you must be bad at the game" or some other dismissive statement that generally isnt helpful. Not really the best way to have a conversation about something you enjoy. Personally I've put 30 hours into the game and the story mode is good but honestly I would have preferred the tenkiachi 2 or 3 style of story telling. I am sort of burned out towards anything DragonBall these days and this was a much needed revival of the franchise.

The reason why it’s called sparking zero and tells itself it’s part of the budokai tenkaichi is because the people who translating the game to English changed its name from sparking to budokai tenkaichi the original Japanese names were DBZ SPARKING(budokai tenkaichi) DBZ SPARKING NEO(budokai tenkaichi 2) DBZ SPARKING METEOR(budokai tenkaichi) So Dragon Ball sparking zero is actually very accurate because it is part of the sparking series known as the budokai tenkaichi in America

Currently watching DBZ KAI and loving it. I watched DBZ growing up and i've played most games since then so i'm super familiar with the story. But after playing SS3 Goku again... Man I had to rewatch the series. Something about Goku achieving those older transformations for the first time are sick

The zamasu fight was a first for me. I got stuck on it for 40 minutes. Now, I didn't have a problem until ssj3 golu vs kid buu, which was my first death. But that zamasu fight really bothered me and they need go reduce the timer or amount of health you need to lose for the game to continue, because the timer is WAY to long now. Here's what happened to me: I beat the alternative ending requirement 2 times in a row, which is basically "win quickly". I kept trying to slow down, then died 3 times in a row... then I finally understood where the trigger for the timer is or whatever (it's after zamasu fuses btw, if you're playing the level too. Best him up as best you can until that happens, then beat him up VERY slowly once you hit around 40% of his HP. If trunks starts talking, the survive until he stops and you'll continue. So I just had to keep as much health as possible for that end game stage... because he destroys your HP if you give him ANY openings. So you basicly have to be perfect and beat him relentlessly while they switch out and regain healthbars 3 times, then kinda let him beat you a bit for time to pass, then take his health down slowly. It was WAY easier, to just beat them by not giving them any opening to hit you.

Honestly it’s fun to play but the overall package is just not there ! The presentation in some places is amazing then other aspects are so barebone

If you wanna try the multiplayer, do it now. Check it out atleast. I mean, you get a trophy from it on PS5 by playing online battles😂 My reasoning is two-fold: super high player count, do the small community of hardcore players are drowned out a lot.and the second one is that because the player count is currently so high, you have a way better chance to match up vs someone who's never played a previous game in the franchise than ever before. So the online mode is still fun, just stay away from ranked unless you really are getting bored with online matches.

Them being too underpowered is such a stupid reason to not include certain characters. Most of the OG Dragon ball characters are at least 100 power level, while someone like Raditz is 1500. The main cast at the end if Z has canonically reached the billions. 😂 If Nam is underpowered compared to Goku Super then the same goes for Raditz.

As a fellow 30 year old, I have enjoyed every bit of the video and it felt like I was just hangin’ with one of the boys. Earned a sub for sure!

The game isn't setting out to become more than what its foundations are imo. It's Tenkaichi 4 with super characters and slight tweaks to gameplay. Also, the animation is fantastic. I give it 7/10. Tenkaichi 3 is still better imo.

My first experience with dbz, is dudokai 3. Still never saw the dbz anime, or read the manga. Loved the og Db anime

Yeah I'm not a fan of the postcard style storytelling. But i can go back and play the older games too, so as long as the fighting is top notch, it's not a deal breaker

Fuck online these days and fuck making games way too complicated. I’m a single player gamer here who enjoys getting into another fantasy on their downtime, I ain’t trynna let a game take up so much space in my life. With that said, I unfortunately had to leave Sparking Zero aside, even tho I was nostalgically excited for it, bcuz it’s just way too steep of a learning curve and they made that shit way too complicated to enjoy for gamers like me. Perhaps, in time, with decent updates they’ll make it more accessible for everyone. And yes, they really bummed me out with the lack of storytelling, idk if they would do something about that tho😒🤦🏻‍♂️

As much as I love the game, it feels strangely out of place in this era. Sparking blatantly feels like a ps2 game dropped 20 years after the ps2 era. I think that's perfect for whay it wants to be, it's just a bit unsettling realizing how far games have come since then

Are there difficulty settings? Or will this game aggravate the Carpal Tunnel I got from the Zamasu training missions in Xenoverse 2? Will I finally have a DragonBall game that lets me fulfill my DB power fantasy?

I found the episode mode to be very lacking. Previous games had you do every single fight in the series, this just picks a few fights for a small number of characters. People defend this by saying that it's for the what if stories, but those are incredibly lacking too. They're all just "what if this one fight went differently, but the story didn't change at all". You've convinced me to check out the custom battles though.
