Using Home Assistant, Wemos D1 mini, 433MHz RF controllers, and a bi-stable relay to control the gas valve on our fireplaces.

Quick demo with a short 5-second latch time. We start with the idle screen with status information, then triggering motion sense which in turn changes to the Scene Control page, then no motion after 5 seconds changes back to the status page. In this way you can glance across the room to see status information, but when you move towards the system it switches to interactive controls.
