The 'greatest pop song'' of all time was so simple that it became iconicly ingrained into our modern zen culture. Still don't know exactly what the song means though.😂 I think he kind of explained it well midway through though, that it's meaning is that we are sort of a Buddhist beam of light. Yep, thats it in a nutshell.

I really love Andy, (it's hard to stop calling him Adny, cause I remember the fan days, but I work at it). Bought the first Dictators record in a store in the San Fernando Valley (if you know what that means) when it came out. I believe that Andy knows the real meaning of rock and roll, and it's a goddam shame that he does not rule the world. Love and kisses, Simon.

Beautiful song, done by so many people in different styles, from new age ballads to hardcore rave bangers, yet the moment those descending piano chords come through it ALWAYS stops you in your tracks and tugs at the heart strings. I had a kind of mystical experience the day after my father died, hearing this song and it totally resonated, so there's another meaning conjured up by those few lyrics - saying goodbye to one's father is something everyone has to learn to do at some point. The song, which I loved anyway, took on a whole new meaning ever since. I love loads of other Korgis songs too, they really speak to me. "If I Had You", "All The Love In The World", "If It's Alright With You Baby", absolute classics, the lot of them!

Those 3 Dictators records are unreal. They stand alone and apart and above it all, in my opinion. Those records transcend every scene. The songwriting is beautiful. Beautiful. Adny writes amazing songs, a major influence on Black Patrick. Ross the Boss is a monster. The best. HDM is the secret weapon any band would kill for.

Too much dope was a bit of a problem though back then in Oz as a lot of kids were chronic users dropping out of school, work and uni. It wasn't as strong as weed now but martys correct in saying it was everywhere. I played gold afternoon fix a lot when I was working at a pub in Cornwall in 1990 and had lots if punters ask me about the songs and band. Funny how Marty later moved to Cornwall. Love All about Eve still listen to them here and there but sadly Never got to see them live.

I was one of those fans, knew them pretty well. Spent hours hanging around outside their houses. Absolute gentlemen, all of them. They appreciated us but as far as we all saw, never a foot out of line. Don’t tarnish people’s reputations just because of what somebody else did. Also, the star guitar was Gerry’s, he had a couple, he was famous for them. Very sad they were cast aside because of GG.🌺

Almost convincing toupe. Loved the Church in their "Heyday" At the Noosa Aussie Hop(It was in a huge field in Cooroy)Lot of Great bands that day. The Church, even on a stinkin hot Qld day had an amazing ambience and you almost forgot it wasn't just their show.

Edit and delete the first sentence, it's a dickhead troll move, and totally wrong. That said, the particular Noosa gig you referenced was notable because The Church deliberately delayed their arrival so as not to play before The Sunnyboys, a billing that peeved Steve Kilbey.
