Interesting. Still on the fence. Everyone and anyone that I have ever met running for any kind of office has always had some degree of ego, so I think that comment was a little off-putting. I have met Lucas and he is a very polite and energetic person. We mainly talked food. This video was more helpful actually than Lucas' Facebook videos. I would like to talk to him in person again so I think I will reach out. Cheers

Olena is very Mayoral. Her depth of knowledge extends beyond the narrow scope of one community, yet her reach Internationally would serve Port Hope extremely well. She has been very complimentary of the scores of council candidates, as well the current staff of our Town. You can tell that she simply wants to get down to business and work to find innovative solutions to the challenges facing the community, namely: the continued preservation of our historic heritage, the preservation and growth of both our urban and rural tree canopy, wrap-around services for our vulnerable population, the daunting task of finding an answer to affordable housing to name a few. I look forward to having Dr. Hankivsky steering the ship we call Port Hope.
