In this video ? No. It's just a bush taken from the first level. Other than that, the hunter in armor who's chasing after Bubba is called Waldo and the two aliens who keeps on arguing are Zitt and Zott.

@@bubbanstix2536 maybe when the tongue rolls out, it could pop out a bonus, and one wearing a bubba cap could roll out an extra life bubba bonus

@@BillyAllison At first, at 0:21, I contemplated the idea of having Bubba try and jump over the alien, get caught by a leg and slammed against the ground in a Tex Avery fashion, so that it would make obvious that the tree is an obstacle/puzzle but it proved too difficult to do for me.

I regularly toy with the Scorpion Engine for Amiga but I haven't mastered it enough yet. Maybe it'd be easier on Game Maker Studio, I don't know that one. Sooner or later I'll make a puzzle or a small level.

I'm under the impression that the game is the subject of some kind of very niche trend right now. "Many" people make live playthroughs of it, or "youtube shorts", every week there's a new video about it. I was always a fan but started posting fan artwork last year with this Merry Christmas (I've just made a new animation called "Barrels") and Billy Allison released a new drawing last year of Bubba walking toward his three wheeled truck in the style of Akira, and now his Fat Boy Slim video. The game is good and quite unique so, that's deserved, and it deserves a remaster in the style of Rayman Legends for example. By "deserve" I also mean that it wouldn't be a loss of money I think. Retrogaming and pixels are fine nowadays.

Yeah, I've found a few screenshots of this flooded first level in magazines archives. I suppose the missing level was the Zoo as it can be seen on the map and Bubba surprisingly jumps from the underwater section to the airport. (Also, there's the strange screenshot at the back of the corker's box of the game which I talk about in the description of the video). I obvioulsy wish they'd finish the game.

As funny an answer as it might be, I did not but I've spoken to someone who did and they told him that they just couldn't remember. I think that sadly, the game was rushed and there's no path to reach this secret room. But I still hope someone will appear and tell me there is one.

​@Bubba'n'Stix 2 I think You should ask, it will not cost You anything. I ask Simon and he told me that they put it for fun, it might be just decoration. He ask me for map of that level and I give him link to HOL entry on Bubba. Did You try different versions of game? I am sure Genesis got different level layout than Amiga.

@@GzegzolkaDA Ah ah ah. I don't want to bother them. And really, someone told me they had already ask them and there was no way to reach this room. That person also had used trainers to go through walls (on genesis) and confirmed it was impossible. The layout is only different on genesis for level 2. I'm surprised you can talk to Simon Phipps so easily. I didn't know Hol had maps of the levels. Awesome.

@@bubbanstix2536 I read on one of the forums, in the Genesis version, people entered special codes to pass through walls. There are several such places in the game, but there is no entrance or exit, so it remains a mystery

I mainly used assets from Speedball II and Pinball Dreams and added a few things. I drew the two ramps and some of the rails but also copied the parts that look the most beautiful. It still took me a lot of time. I posted a video that shows the evolution of the drawing if you're curious.

Sadly no. I'm trying to draw attention to the game. The 2 is wishful thinking. I have a 1 min video in the making which would take place in a new spot of the second level, similar to the Merry Christmas one (but with better scrolling). I just want to allow the game to have new things happening around it. And while doing all this I perfect my drawing skills and produce material that could be used for someone who'd be willing to make a new level in the Scorpion Engine for example.

Well, I made this little animation for Christmas 2022. For the pleasure of watching Bubba do new things. Did you manage to finish the game back in the day ?
