Was just there 3 days ago at 6:40 am. If you skip to 1:20 into this video, look towards right side of image. There's a man with white sleeves, a back pack and jeans. He's facing the area I found train ticket machines. No one was working the information booth that time of morning. There were several machines just on the other side of the black partition you see.

It annoys me how there is no POV train ride from Istanbul Airport to city center on UA-cam. All you'll find is people telling you, but not showing you.
