I just bought the Brother PQ1600s and cannot fins the propper walking foot for this machine. The high shank/commercial shank walking foot I bought starts to leave a black dust material on my fabric. Do you know why this is happening?

I'm wondering why no one tested this mashine and and told about differenties between the 1500 and these one.? The 1500 is no longer avilable in Germany and Austria but i'm missing informations about this one for free motion quilting and i wanted to see the stitches in detail. Thanks for the video!

Steam a seam 2 is just way too expensive. The Nola pattern recommends 8 to 10 yards, several people I have talked to have ended up using 12 yards. The box with 25 yards of steam a seam 2 is around 245 dollars. So I have had to teach myself other alternatives. By the yard it is about 12.00 a yard. The price after patterns, batting, backing, pattern ease, actual quilt fabrics, and steam a seam 2 is outrageous. Sorry. But many of us out here right now would have to totally give up collage and art quilting if we did not use alternatives.

I watched the video because I can't figure how to do the corners but you skipped that. Please consider adding onto this video how to cleanly wrap the corners.

But now the tractors are upside down on the other side of the pillow…so I need to cut the fabric in half, put together so both sides are right side up, and tractors are right side up on both sides…

Did you have to pre-wash the fabrics before applying the product?

Those are great tips! I just started my pre-quilting this afternoon. I had some problems with the upper thread breaking. Increasing the stitch length seemed to help.

❤ Love this idea and just in time for Christmas!! I have a friend who has a longarm, so I’m hoping to have her help me make these bags. Not being a longarm-er myself, I have a bunch of questions. Do you quilt the 1 yard of fabric first, then continue with the size options? When I buy the pattern and the $5 for the extra, does that include general directions for making the bag and the pantographs (right term?) When making multiple size bags with the quilted fabric, do the patterns give you the dimensions of how much space is needed for each size? For the Double X size, how much quilted fabric is needed for it? To an experienced long arm-er, my questions are probably easily answered, but before I buy patterns, fabric, and zips, I would like to know what I am asking my friend to do. Maybe it’s really simple. I have no idea. Your presentation was very well done, lots of closeups to see how a bag is stitched out, and a good link for the pattern. If you have a video on someone setting up her longarm for the bag making part, I’d love to watch it. Thank you so much for sharing!❤

Quick tip with the stapler: I like to place the heel of my non-dominant hand on the top of the stapler to brace it against the frame while I squeeze the handle with my dominant hand. This helps stabilize the stapler so it doesn’t feel wobbly, and it also eliminates some of that gap (reducing the amount of tapping you have to do with the hammer). This is a cool idea! I’m eager to try it.

Love this new Brother's Print Moda Studio. Question. Why are the rolls so expensive? There is only so much you print with just 5.4 yards at $100 each. Cotton fabric is so inexpensive to buy per yard, but Brother is charging $100 just for a tiny amount of yards, 5.4 yards -crazy. I hope to hear your feedback.
