Amazing! I wish all the episodes of Under The Umbrella Tree that Encore+ had uploaded, hadn’t been removed 😢

My husband and I had a day-trip to Almonte on Father's Day. We fell in love and bought a lot near the water within days. We're so excited to make Almonte our home. Thank you for this video. I'll share it with my friends.
You will be most welcome!
Thanks to the volunteers who worked their bums off in 30 C.
I live here so I see this every day...

Lovely video Brent. Yes we certainly live in a beautiful town!
Dear Brent, Some 2 years ago you were kind to send us the video you prepared of the times you were a baby in Aruba 1956, You kindly selected my friend's Iris Litchfield's music entitled “You're with me still". We thought at the time and still do what I wonderful way it was to remember your loving parents. I have often showed it to friends when I wanted them to see how important it is to keep the memories of our loved ones alive with the passing years. Where are you these days? Regards, Maria
My little family and I (city dwellers) are presently almost ready to close negotiations on a big and beautiful piece of land right on this river in Ompah. Looking at the river from the land made it look so absolutely shallow that it might not even support a canoe, leave alone a small fishing boat. Firstly thank you for this lovely video and 2ndly can you be kind enough to tell me if this river is navigable throughout. I mean leaving also the dams and such.
How nice to watch this video. I was born in Aruba in 1939 and left in 1952. My last visit was in 1958..would love to come back. I know it has changed, so it is nice to see it how I remembered it. Thanks!
Thank you for posting; I live in one of the houses and rent it as vacation rental, take a look at my profile

The sound of the water throughout is what makes this an awesome video. I watched it twice.....it was so peaceful and serene. Get shots Brent!!!!! And that German Shepherd in the boat may be what my 5 month old pup will look like when he becomes an adult. LOL
@endtime2012 None of the old houses were never torn down, only the old hospital there at Colony, the name is still on the maps, Most of the houses are still there, but abandoned, some were rebuild, or remodeled. Even the church is still functioning

@sfremgen -- glad you enjoyed it. Long time ago now :)
Thanks aucar, I'd forgotten about my Gmail account and so never check it. Finally did and found your kind comment there. Long time ago, wasn't it?

I grew up in Lago Colony; I was in the class of '63 there at Lago. My folks lived there from '44 to '68. Thanks for sharing the old home movies with us; those memories of places and times we remember so well will always be cherished.
