Buck stove 74 vs Buck stove 26000

This is short review of using Buck 74 when switched from Buck 26000 in a middle of the winter. This allowed me to see immediate difference. My verdict- Buck 74 will run hotter and longer on low/med low damper closed as compared to Buck 26000 fully open air intakes. Highly recommended.

Removable legs are optional, mine is without as an insert with stainless flue- works super well. It can stand as free standing. So far, stove is working very well. Very good stove!

Mine is installed as an insert. When inserted, it does not need legs.

I bought a Buck 74 at Lowe's 2 years ago, mine has legs & i wish the legs were taller, b/c sometimes at 67 bending down to load it i get bad cramps in my legs.....& mine cost 3,ooo.xx I like the stove but i do wish the firebox was larger, so it would hole even more wood...but this complaint may be nit picking...?

What surface temperature do you like to keep the stove burning at? Good video. I love my Buck 74 - no match for the 26000 plus the 74 burns much less wood

That’s some magical wood if it burns for 9 hours!!! I have the Buck stove 26000 and I invite ANYONE to challenge me on seeing who’s unit can put out the most heat!!! Bring it on!!
