That thing should walk through that. Maybe bad tires.
@@darrellnelson6878 thought of syping them but they did pretty good 👍 other than looking like fluffy snow ❄️ it was fairly solid wet stuff
@WS1_AUTOS_N_STUFF I love the sound of that thing.
@ thanks 🤘
To be honest 38s will be changing axles all time on straight axle dana 44 ifs and cv joints are get pitch to them. It to much tire not knocking it case i have change them way to many times or going start spend money replacing them with better
@@CS-ir9mo haven’t found any better than the Ford cv’s , all explode in first minute
OMG as much as you Excited me...Ouch Whoops pop goes the Weasle(Axle)😢😮
@@brettonweeks2834 took 30min next day to fix and included , of course finding my tools 😆 best cv axle is the stock ford 👍have a bunch and don’t know why i didnt take one with. All other axle though exploded the first minute in 4wd 🤦🏽 This is probably the last short from this trip 🤷🏽 have some clips of cab views but they are hard to watch 🤢 son was doing the recording like he was all sugared out 🤣 also have couple of my brothers truck . We are supposed to get a bunch more snow this week so goal is to head out again. Got the car hauler back home so now can may use to take truck up and not worry about breaking something as muck 😆
❤😂Thank you for your detailed response.I at 70 get to relive my childhood thru you and your son plus you and brother are quite the pair of perfect mechanics.I look forward to the continued adventures of you with your brother narration, your boy's sugar rush, and camera angles and your Truck climbing that awesome winter wonderland of beauty you call home..Yes car hauler will be handy as you dump that throttle and pipes blast mud flaps fly and fun begins..I'll be waiting as a happy old man 😂😅😊🎉I
Well doo doo , should’ve brought extra CV axle 🤦🏽
I was on the fence with the boys “go Billy” - but then it rooster tailed 😂😂😂😂
@@Brandansquests power steering wasn’t cooperating that day 😂

I know you’d love that too much 😄 these places are where you love to adventure
Mud flaps on a f150 is a bold move bit it dont look to bad
@@Braedyn-q2t 🤙thanks cops prefer them 🫣 and I ment to take them off for this to help clear snow out but 🤷🏻♂️

Nice!!
The 2nd pic is the scan for instructions but i posted them in this👍 3rd is a list with part’s bolt and nut with torque and wrench/socket size So pause the video as needed to get your rough country lift done 👍 or just order a @zone lift instead and save yourself the hassle 😂😂 I’ll have install video up soon hopefully🤘
Holly shi* what engine do you have in it, sounds mean
@@rump59 thanks 🤘 it’s a rebuild from powertrainproducts.net , running 91 tune on 24lb injectors, EGR delete, I believe they’re Banks headers since the truck they came from had the exhaust system. I built a 3” for it . There’s a few others too but yeah 🤘thanks
Badass trucks tho fr💯
You playin at 1:10😂, my dad has a 03 f150 on stock 16s that was easily traveling through 16 inches of snow. I have a 97 expedition 4x4. Its a beast.
@@nathanstock7368 that’s my brother in his king ranch, he was having overheating problems because his radiator was clogged and someone else was filming . But he was trying the crawl approach to see how cool his new tires were and not hotrod too much ? 🤷🏻♂️ and this was actually before I got there but I thought it would go fine there . But I’d say playing 😆 don’t think he aired his tires down . I finally did 😎
Man, this really helps me out.
@@ColoradoParkingLotBuilds I’m glad 🤘 I’m trying to get the rough country one up too . So much editing, so much extra stuff…. ish , I’d like to make a short for these for the toque specs 🤷🏻♂️ and maybe not so much moving my hands and blabbing 😆
did he not put shocks in?
I’ll need to review my video 🤷🏻♂️ I’m editing a rough country lift install (don’t recommend the kit) but I ended up just getting some new stock rear shocks because they are pretty much what replaces the smaller front ones and the rear stocks should work still if I remember. There’s brackets you can get for rear shocks to give a lil more length also but if you’re looking to replace them you’d probably just get the kit with them included 👍 Let me know if you have any questions 👍
Your tie rods done left the chat bud
Yah time to convert to rack and pinion steering 🤦🏻♂️
❤😅you just Made my Morning Marvelous and Muddy Buddy Awesome !!!!!
🤙I’ve got the full video about ready, nothing crazy , just a few minutes long maybe . I’m just now putting my REALS on UA-cam🤦🏽 not sure why I didn’t before 😂

I just downloaded a video of just runs but have the full full with more related to the that event , ish 😄
This was irony, my man. I'm in Ohio. Western. Today, we were supposed to get pounded by tornadoes. Instead, we got....sun! Lmao
I suppose that’s a good thing 🤔😆 🤘🌞🤘 funny thing is that this song was actually playing when it started snowing 😆
Hopefully it stays that way for ya though 🤙
And most meteorologists get paid over $100,000 a year to tell you partly sunny
🤙 was really only needing to clean the passenger fender well to get my liner back in but looked nice so I did the whole job truck 🤦🏽🤷🏻♂️ oh well, i knew what I was getting into with mud tires that stick out like dumbo 🐘
Take tire psi down to 10 and shell go
Oh yeah 🤙 I almost forgot to drop the air in the latest video. I think it was 20 or 25 ? Didn’t want to go too low with 24’s 🫣
Makes he'll of difference
Id like to see this idler arm if it worked. Need one for mine. Broke anything wheeling with it, now that it wouldnt have any give/play?
🤘I need to pull it apart and inspect the current results. I’m having trouble getting grease in it so I need to change zerk location and or redesign some parts. It’s fairly tight still but maybe starting to get a little play 🤷🏻♂️ my top nut on frame is stripped and is another reason for looking like it’s drunk😆 so I had a longer bolt but only GRADE 8.8. I then put an extra nut on it but may just do away with stock mounting . Im looking for a CLASS 12.9 or 10.9 (not much is ever talked about past Grade 8.8) which one thing about having parts trucks is the factory bolts aren’t cheap ! The class 12.9 are easily $5 minimum for little ones I haven’t really tried wheeeling with this idler but As for actually breaking things … the only thing was my front driveline. Twisted in two . As soon as I’m comfortable with outcomes I’ll let everyone know and can hopefully get the “FIX”right this time! 👎Moog👎🤢🤮😆
So been lil busy to work on the idler arm but i did make a plate for steering dampener to lower the angle that mine was at. Shock was pushing the linkage up. Might mess with it a lil more and maybe make a short to show what i did so if anyone has same one can hopefully help a little 🤷🏽 which it looks like there only one style between them all really
@@joe735 so idler did good for while but couldn’t get it greased properly because when I got it together it didn’t line up how I wanted it to but I’m still brainstorming
Need some weight in the back. My 2000 F150 7700 5.4L V8 4x4 eats snow for lunch.
I’ve done that before, loaded up bunch of snow with tractor after it pulled me out with set up before lift😆 helps a lot I aired down my tires this last time and made a big difference and my idler arm should be resolved for next round 🤞
What? No 4x4?!?
😆We try to stick to the trails to avoid ripping up the land
this thing is bad ass man! sound great too. have you thought of a sas swap?
I’ve got an extra set of super duty axles . I’m not sure if I’d go with 4link and not sure heim sizes
And thanks too
Yes I ended up building my own idler arm after this😂 and can drive both tires in same direction now 😂
Yes I ended up building my own idler arm after this😂 and can drive both tires in same direction now 😂
Good song to choose :)
Hellz yea that's one bad sounding/looking 150
Full video coming soon 🤞
Not hatin....but I gotta be honest. If you'd had a Falken wildpeak at3w or Toyo open country at3 you prolly would not have had as much issue...mud tires just aren't a good choice for deep snow.
Possibly🤙I should’ve aired tires down 🫣 and if my brand new moog idler arm wasn’t crap 💩 Thanks for checking video out and some input 🤘 Tires were a great price with package deal for around $800 for 37’s 🤷🏻♂️ yah mud tires have too big of lugs and can be like wearing cowboy boots on ice
@WS1_AUTOS_N_STUFF That was a great deal...I'd have bought em too!!!
How do you have the stock rims without them rubbing the spindle?
Because I don’t have one🫣 I’m guessing you mean the steering knuckle and or upper control arm ball joint? Brake caliper? Spindle is on 2wd’s. It’s what the wheel barings ride on . My set up before lift was about a half inch away with 37x13.5’s but did rub the frame and torsion bars on full turn
@@WS1_AUTOS_N_STUFF what size tires did you have on during this video. @12:42 I know they were not 37x135s.....
Got 97 with 3 inch body lift about to get a 5inch rc to add do you think 40s would clear without offset wheels? Hopefully It will be big
🤘I’d do the 6” , you can order kits without the shocks to save a little money but won’t be much if you want to pick your own out or If you have newer already you can put your rear on the front since they’re the replacement part for the stock front and just get new rears. But might as well start fresh. If you can get traction bars do it 🤘 I’m installing a rc 5” on my brothers truck and will be getting footage. I don’t remember the rear spring and block set up it came with but my zone only had a 3” block or something like that but I had to get a different one so my truck wasn’t squatted so that being said I would’ve ordered a 5”or 6” block if I knew . I ended up getting the rear shackle lift which was kinda a pain since the bolt didn’t want to come out of the bushing and ended up cutting it off since the shackles had new bolts. My videos with my 9.5 wide chrome wheels had 37’ on 5” of lift & was tight but didn’t ever have anything smaller than the 37x13.5’s & 14 wides with 2” adapters so I couldn’t tell ya about 40’s with 5”&3” lift . My 40’s are tight with 6”&3” plus full cranked torsions(which I don’t recommend maxing them out) hard to keep parts and winter is tough to drive with 4wd when they do crap out Lot of babble but I will update you when I get a chance to open the lift package. & Thanks for watching 🤘
Thanks for the advice looking forward to new content
So update on the ROUGH COUNTRY (AKA IKIA LIFT) it sucks for instructions. The nuts and bolts are very half ass labeled if at all.they have some pictures with their instructions but are soo crappy it’s hard to make out what they’re showing. It’s on a website which should be better than paper but not much more. Me and my brother spent a good hour or so just figuring everything out before starting and also while putting together. I filmed majority of the tear down but is all same as my zone (stock disassemble) but have a little extra approach on this truck since it has lil more rusted togetherness. It’s not a horrible lift but the zone has a more solid build since it’s welded and not just bolting the drop brackets to the cross supports. Hopefully will have my version of the lift install uploaded in the upcoming week. my brother kinda looked at other videos to see if you can see which bolts they used and where but didnt help us. Tried to do as much mentioning for location of the bolts as possible. We currently have the front brackets for lower control arms and diff done and are doing the torsion drop brackets and rest of front lift in tomorrow and rear in the next day or so. I’m switching his non limited slip 3:55’s axles with 3:73 limited slip from a different truck i have. I didnt measure the block for rear but its a 3” or 4” and goes under the stock 2” bump stop block. Doesnt have a “add a leaf” . But having all the shocks included is a large plus to make it worth the purchase. If it was me id buy the zone 6”, go as bigg as you can. Id say they all fail on the rear lift for the most part. If you can get new rear lift springs like 6” 🤷🏽 or at least a bigger block than provided Lots of babbling but thought you’d like to know 🤘😎🤘
Thanks for the update I bought a parts truck with the RC lift already installed so I’ll be switching it all over to my 97 here in the next few weeks just got the transmission put back in tonight I’ll definitely be waiting for the video yo post thank you for all your help
@@terrybell5769 sweet 🤘 that’s cool and kind of a bonus then 🤩 that should be easier instead of all the random bolts building the kit 😆, can just pull the bolts for the lower control arms. Have you compared the gear ratios ? Axle Codes • 18 - 3.08, non-limited slip, F-150 • 19 - 3.55, non-limited slip, F-150, F-250 • 26 - 3.73, non-limited slip, F-150, F-250 • 27 - 3.31, non-limited slip, F-150, F-250 • 28 - 3.73, non-limited slip, F-150, F-250 • H9 - 3.55, limited slip, F-150, F-250 • B6 - 3.73, limited slip, F-150, F-250 Probably wanna keep spraying the torsions till you get to it 🤷🏻♂️ hopefully not too stuck together.

In November this year I bought a 2000 F-150 7700 with 4x4 option, smid plates, trailer towing option, low transfer case, locking rear differential, and 5.4L V8 and it is a BEAST in the snow. What a difference between it and the truck in this video which has no teeth at all.

😂 lots more toe in 🤣🤮 lets say dont buy moog . And 4wd with the angle of control arms doesnt help either, i want to say i feel like the tie rods aren’t in a simular pitch as the control arms making it only aligned at ride height so bouncing up and down is constantly fighting alignment . It affects my braking on pavement also. I’m sorry you had to witness that and thanks for watching
