You don't put the speed tap on the low voltage you put the green wire from the thermostat on the relay and only the common needs to be on the relay😮
The most part programming is Sysyem set up. No one show how to set it up with heat pump. Must need help
We just bought a house with this and it keeps going back to to 78😭 please tell me how to fix this. It says override on the side
does the 2-4 in rule matter or not
Why it’s red to black and not black to black/red to red???
Nice explanation. We have a 724. The wife is going nuts because she has the T-Stat set to 26.5c in heat mode and hold but the room temp is rising to 27c and above. It's cold outside and wife thinks this maybe related to me connecting via Wi-Fi and doing the FW update. How can we ensure heat stops when 26.5c is reached? Thanks.
Thanks for the great video! Was able to convert without any issue.
how would you wire it to a carrier infinity system?
I can’t get my heat setting to go above 73. What does this mean?
THANK YOU😊😊😊!!!
I’m sorry, but is this a DIY video or a pro shop video? Who has all these tools? Basic hand tools dude.
Sweet design! Wish my installer used ur design! Ill diy a copy if u dont mind. I had all the issues you described in my neg pressure setup. I found the drain vent wide open on the most humid day. I asked if that was on purpose and was ignored. Got so much water buuldup that it tripped the emergrncy shutoff multiple times (yes i cleaned it 4 times in 105F attic). I capped the vent but it got cooler so will see on next humid days if covering vent did the trick. My p trap is no where near 2 inches either!!!
Neutral on a relay hum😮
Mine goes straight down no trap. R22 unit heat inside, ac outside hvac forced air?
What if you pipe straight down first then the Ptrap should still work correct? As long as you offset the outlet @least “2?
The only reason I bring this up is because I ran into a vertical closet install with no clearance to run the p trap off the first run off the primary drain outlet this one didn’t have a filter base 🤦♂️
I’ve installed them without and had no problems, but there’s been times on the air handlers in the attic and you don’t install a P-trap. You’re gonna have ceiling damage.
P trap does have a function ( or s trap) - the pan drains better yes. none of the other inventions do anything at all, if it did, it would be in the RECTOR manuals - the bible on p traps for cond. Put a direct rectorseal safe t switch on the primary pan first.
first cap does nothing, second cap does nothing, hole in second cap does less than zero. can't make this stuff up.
Vent before trap Will not drain correctly, vent after will drain better
@@thomasclifton7892 need to delete my comment now because you just explained the second cap having a hole
You deserve more view & likes my man
Is a cap necessary? N what happens if no cap?
Gets clogged with debris
@brianherren9222 thank you 🙏
Bullshit explanation
Cant find a good ac guy so I disconnected the line and went to home depo and bought a 5 gal bucked works great empty once a week during summer. saved me talking to hard heads wouldn't fix it and lots of wasted money.
Spent 17K on new install n guy cant figure out why my shit is leaking. This guy hit the nail on the head i think.
Thanks boss
Great video! Thank you! Question though if you have the time. How many inches over the measurement of the bottom of the air handler should I make the width of my box to sit correctly In A plenum such as this?
if you measure across inside the standing S cleats you will now see its smaller than 21" because of the folds of the Standing S cleats. You needed to have made allowances for that by about 3/16" or even more if your furnace jacket has screw heads in its construction. A plenum box that size should also have cross breaks. 21" wide furnaces are usually 4 ton blowers. Need cross breaks.
What’s the product called
Great video. You're a smarty!
I have to be the bad guy here but why is the trap not over the safety pan
Place the Hockey Puck wet switch on the rubber from a Rubber/Cork pad… the switches are extremely sensitive and if can be hard to get dry in a fast amount of time
Interesting I will start fanning my low voltage out some more , I usually don’t consider service lol
Good class and video. I would have liked to see the other ends of those wires that led into the air handler. I can see the motor wires but have no idea where the other wires come from except maybe the thermostat.
Great tip when it's 2am and getting a new one is not happening for at least 2 days of getting one from Amazon to replace it.
Very good. A lot of installers don't know anything about drain lines or drain traps.
So I almost messed up then.anyway I can send a picture of the one I’m working on to you?
How did you get the em heat to show on that Thermostat
Had a tech do this to my unit. I got to replace the whole unit bc of it. Don’t let a tech talk you into this.
Thanks for the video. Here I sit, it’s 13 degrees outside and our furnace has stopped working. Every year for a few days of cold weather, our condensation line freezes somewhere, and each year our HVac person comes out after the fact and adds a heat tape our something else to line. I’ll have a better understanding this time around.
The technician cover the wires with his hands so nobody can see where is connecting the wires and the camera man is completely lost
I agree with you. It's hard to see where the wires are being placed on the relay because his hands are getting between the camera and the relay, and the camera person is not moving or zooming in so we can see clearly.
My Wet Switch tripped twice in two days, with no water in sight. The A/C also quit blowing cool air. The inside (and outside) fans both work but only blows regular air temp. Is this a coincidence that this happened the same time the Wet Switch tripped (first time in the six years we've been here)? (I changed the capacitor, but that didn't fix it.) Any suggestions? My main question is could a malfunctioning Wet Switch cause the air not to be cool? What if it wasn't wired correctly? Here's how its wired: green+black>blue (from transformer) / red>red (from transformer) / yellow>dark blue / white>capped off. BTW, the thermostat (Honeywell, battery operated) is still on when the Wet Switch trips. (2015 Daiken system)
Test it! Go turn your ac on and wait till the outdoor starts running. Once the outdoor turns on come inside and hit the test button it should shut off your out door unit. If it doesn’t it’s either wired wrong or has moisture. But if has moisture it shouldn’t be running in the first place
Yes, it shuts everything down. I guess it was just a coincidence that it tripped the same day that the AC quit blowing cool air. The outside compressor is working, capacitor is good, refrigerant is full, evaporator coil is good. What else could cause the air not to be cool? Bad thermostat? Thanks for your reply!@@enormity8797
HVAC is a young man’s game. I got out of the business due to low pay, lousy hours, and substandard benefits. Some working conditions can be dangerous and injury is likely. I saved enough money to go back to college.

Very informative video, if you already have some experience with this. However, the cameraman, and the lead voice on this video are very shabby to say the least. You should always review the video and try to make it better. Videotaping somebody’s feet or elbow is not helpful. Sloppy language is not helpful either. Teach this, as if you are teaching a newbie. Thanks for the attempt though.
Thanks for this video. I need to add a trap to my unit which is located in a closet. I don't have much room to design a trap system without blocking the air filter access. I could install it in the supply area below the unit but then my vent after the trap (cap with hole) would be installed in a negative pressure area. I assume that is not good. I can install it in front of the unit but then it would block the air filter. Using pvc unions might be an option. This would allow me to remove the trap for cleaning when replacing the air filter.
Don't you think a 10 farad capacitor is a bit excessive?
It depends on the motor. My old furnace had a 12 uF cap on the blower motor.
Were is the brown wire hooked up to the relay going to?
It goes to the common side of the transformer
run cap
Thank you
That thing sucks dude. I still have that one but it just collects dust now. You need an ultrasonic leak detector. IR is shit
