I desperately need one of these for my father who has been through about 25 major surgeries in the last 20 years. He has had many severe cervical spine surgeries and occasionally loses all control over his extremities. This often leads to a fall. I have moved to my parents home and purchased it from them and live there full time. I work to pay the mortgage and help out with finances so I am gone during the day for work during the week. If dad falls, my mother is aging and no longer is able to help him back up. This would work for our situation. I looked up the price and immediately had my hopes smashed. Is there somewhere where someone can purchase one of these on the second hand market? Is there a leasing program? We dont mind used. We definitely cannot afford this device new.

What an amazing piece of kit! My hubby has Parkinson’s and when he falls it’s such a struggle to get him back up on his feet so this would be a gane changer for us. I’d probably opt for the manual version though due to cost.

I know technology doesn't come cheap but this is one thing the NHS should subsidize. This is crucial technology that could so alleviate caring for elderly and disabled. Like even with the electronics, how can this be so 20x more expensive than a weight bench?

Sadly my wife has advanced Alzheimer’s, she can't even understood let alone carry out simple directions. She sits on the floor and can't get back up. I have a stool that is like maybe a foot off the ground that I get her on then I can pull her into a standing position.

Make one for older people who live on our own..ambulance dont come out any more not unless you are bleeding or hit your head or had a stroke not because you have only fallen 😊

You cant use this on your own when your lying on the floor so there no help what so ever if you live on you own and laying on the floor and cant get up at all

What are the: - Weight limit - Price - Availability in USA - Can it be used by the fallen person, assuming that they aren't badly hurt. Had several falls in December and January without being hurt. Being stuck on the floor for prolonged periods several times, along with an unknown type of systemic infection (NOT sepsis) finally put me near death and in the hospital. I also had severe sores that weren't responding to home treatment. I have recovered from the infection and the side effects of being stuck on the floor for prolonged periods, but t am still in rehab for my sores, which are getting better. I've always been a slow healer, so it's taking a while. I would like to get something like this lift chair for my home as I live alone,but if its too expensive I will get a portable battery powered tub\shower lift chair instead. Some of those are very reasonably priced.

Way too slow

I have had several falls and I have had to wait sometimes several hours until I was able to get help. I am heavy and it is difficult to get me up.

How come you never show the Raizer Chair lifting people weighing 300 lb, you always show it lifting thin people, Even in this video you only lower the heavy person and not lift them. Could this lifting device really lift 300 lb without breaking. I find it hard to believe that a device made of plastic and aluminum can actually lift 320 pounds without breaking.

Most care homes have a nurse onsite 24/7. This will brought in once the nurse has checked the resident for injuries such as fractures or serious head trauma. It's only for falls where a resident has received no or a minor injury. Remember, ambulances do not prioritise falls in care homes; it wouldn't be unheard of for a resident to be on the floor for 4 hours.
