@@Choccsworld Thanks for reaching out. In the beginning when I came out of hospital I lost weight but not a lot, as my body settled down I gained weight just by sticking to a regular diet, home cooked meals and saying away from processed food (most of the time) I also had protein supplements for the first 3 months. I was lucky because most of the damage was on the tail of my pancreas it didn't affect my enzymes production. So it can really depend on how bad the pancreatitis was and what part was the most damaged. But now with onset of chronic pancreatitis I'm having more difficulties with food and need enzyme replacement but have managed to maintain my weight so far. Because I use insulin for my diabetes that also puts on weight Talk to your doctor for advice and see maybe talk to a dietician. Hope this helps Rob

My doctor is horrible she literally prescribed me zenpep (each meal) & 4 pentsa tablets in am… I lost so much weight I don’t even leave my home anymore… I asked her is there anything we could try to gain weight & she continues to say hopefully the zenpep will help… I’ve been doing some research and I’ve found that smoothies are good especially since I can never finish a meal and barely have an appetite.. I think I’ll try them with some ensures .. this is crazy.. it’s even crazier because since 2016 they claimed it was crohns now it’s “ no crohns n only epi “…..
