In my experience I cracked my front frame horn. I'm sure pretty uncommon but that was the culprit. Welded up and ready to go again
Lower control arm bushings
100 ch ?
four stroke ?
Hello sir may i ask , what is the pitch of your prop and do you have a special nosecone on the engine, i self have a hpdi 200 and want to make it faster, and what about a jackplate , regards dirk
23P Yamaha M prop with the OEM lower unit. Mine ran fastest with the jack plate all the way down.
Mine was doing the same thing, it turned out to be the alignment bolts on the control arm and the bolts that hold the rack and pinion, I’ve tightened them and the popping noise it’s gone for good 😀
You are right
tengo ese problema en mi 2008 tacomo lift 3in
Is that normal
I have the same problem on my 2015 Toyota Tacoma a popping noise not sure if it’s the control arms
I have the same problem. Do you find solution
Have any issues with motor? Like power head , Trim, ect?
Don’t put junk on nice vehicles
No on in this comment section knows wtf their talking about. There is no torsion bar on these trucks and on this truck the sway bar has been removed. Check the cv axle where it goes into the differential housing. There's an issue with the needle bearing inside the diff. Ecgs has a remedy.
Dave I have the same exact noise and I replaced the needle bearing with the ECGS clamshell bushings and it did not help at all. Not all sounds come from the same place.
Mine makes same noise but it doesnt have any cv axles in the front. Is. 2wd..
It's the control arm bolt it shifts back and forward I got under the truck and my friend was turning the wheel and saw it
I have the same issue I've replaced everything control arm bushings ball joints tie rod ends removed my sway bar new bearings new cv axles and no change seems to be during steering and going into reverse on mine. But yours seems to do it more often is the uca contacting your spring possibly
This is my problem exactly. Did you ever find out the reason for the pop?
Did u found the problem?
What was the problem?, ever figured it out?
I ended up replacing the lower Control arms and all these issues went away
On my Taco, problem was that the sway bar was rubbing slightly on the shock coils, bought the sway bar relocation kit for $40.00 and that solved my problem. With this video it appears from the viewer angle that the uniball cup on the upper control arm is rubbing with the coil although I could be wrong. It looks like you removed the sway bar so that can't be the problem.
Did you source the problem yet? If not does the popping occur when you step on the brake pedal?
I have this issue as well
Thats what mines do
Axle
Nah I have the same problem on my prerunner
Put sway bar relocate on problem should solve lol, I just did my and it gone.
Please sell your truck now. you have no idea what you're talking about there is no sway bar clearly he took it off there is no sway bar In any part of this video so what are you talking about.
sinking?
Rally Tasker always sinking. But it’s a ranger so it should be ok right?
Sounds like a bad CV.
What was the issue ?
Any damage?
atcdan133 none whatsoever
Pretty smokey, but I don't care. I'm one of those unique types that enjoys the shit out of scrubbing down my firearms!
do you find those 29s rub anywhere during the suspension flex or full lock turning?
They rub in the rear a little. Bike is a stock height and tires at 6psi or so
It seems a bit odd that the rear of the machine seem to be the more common rub points rather than the front. Good to know. thanks for the response.
what were you using for bait?
Gizzard Shad
*check sway bar links is what i meant
What sway bar
Your uca isn't hitting your spring. That white bit that looks like a chip is the sticker pealed off (I have the same OME on my truck) check control arms. Your truck doesn't have torsion bars. Torsion bars were replaced as soon as the tacoma came out. Toyota pickups had torsion bars.
its sold
still have it
Instead of beads why not use 50/50 antifreeze and water?
+justfixitnow77 way too much wieght imagine getting into mud with them you would be done
Look at your coil over! There is clearly wear / rubbing mark on it where the paint is chipped off near the top, considereing the spring looks pretty damn clean and the fact your a arm is super close i would suggest that they are rubbing together. The spring def rotated to allowing us too see the rubbing mark. Change out your a arm or get a narrower spring.
tighten sway bar bolts they are loose
Nashville TN. Ready to wheel when you are. We are all within 5 hours
how far from Columbus are you guys. I would like to wheel. FJ40 linked on won tons.

I am. Bad habit.
Nice Trails, I'm going have to go up to TN. some day, Nice Vid!!!
Well I replaced everything just about trying to get rid of the noise. Coilovers along with new upper and lower control arms.
Did the noise go away?
Just found the knock on my own vehicle - lca bushing going bad and knocking against metal. Thanks for the video! It actually helped me.
carcharias u
LOL, So what ended up fixing your issue>? I guess all the above.
I have this exact noise and have been trying for 3 months to figure it out!! What's the answer? We don't have torsion bars (2011 Tacoma), and I haven't seen any of my own videos where the uca hits the coil. Have you found the source of this noise???
Hello, I have the same problem, how have you solved it?
salfidel is right its ur control arms hitting the coil spring.
Any update on the noise? I have a similar sound on my 09.
That's an awesome looking 80! Needs a front locker though.
No. I have 10oz in each 35. Some speeds are fine. Some shake like hell
Do they work all the time? I'm running 8oz in my 35s and they still shake.
My 06 does this after installing biltstine 5100s but only over bumps
badranger2004 did you figure out the problem? I have the same problem. With bilstein 5100 coilovers
@@jayflores8433 2 years later, u guys find problem i have old man emu 888 and same noise over bumbs
Just installed 2.5” dobinson lift kit and my front driver side is CLUNKY as all get out when driving especially bad over bumps. Any solutions?
@@joeylazio5989 I'm not sure but I had some weight in the back and I dint hear any noise. But I heard it again after I unloaded. So I'm thinking since we upgrade shocks, we just might have to light of a truck and to strong suspensions. Just a thought
@@joeylazio5989 also I took it mudding kinda hard and the noise seems to be gone now. Mabey u just have to break it in lol
hey man great vid.... Subscribe and check out some of my vids !
