How a 5'11 / 170 lb Pitcher DEFEATED the Steroid Era
Pedro Martinez is arguably the greatest pitcher to ever live. But one thing is for certain, when he was at his peak he stood alone as the best we have ever seen. This is the story of how Pedro Martinez defeated the Steroid Era.
Hope you enjoy.

How Moneyball RUINED the Oakland A's
Переглядів 11 тис.Місяць тому
Moneyball was a beautiful thing that the Oakland Athletics front office executed to perfection throughout the 21st century. But as John Fisher’s tenure prolonged, Moneyball seemed to become less about winning with a low payroll and more about simply just having a low payroll. Thank You for watching. See you in 2 weeks for my next video!

    2003 championships with ‘Boone iconic homerun.’ My favorite moment as a Pedro fan. Unfortunately they lost. Grady Little went out to get Pedro, he couldn’t. Pedro was not coming out. The manager did not leave Pedro in too long.

    I think it’s not only stupid they are not recognized for there achievements cuz of what people deem”the steroid era” when in fact hundreds of players for many years before and some after used all sorts of ped’s it’s only the honest onset that got penalized

    not testing positive for roids does not mean anything. This is a low-IQ framing. Pedro was an amazing pitcher. I'm pro-steroids for everyone. His dominance is unquestionable regardless if he had special sauce or not. Claiming he is clean is like claiming morons like David Ortiz was (he wasn't). The actual answer is, we shouldn't care or pretend that anyone wasn't. It's a pointless exercise in futility when it was legal both to purchase and not banned or enforced by the MLB at the time.

    Pedro Martínez is not even the best Dominican pitcher ever. That title goes to Juan Marichal. Pitchers were consumers as hitters were during the steroid era. Steroids strenghten your muscles and ligaments like the rotator cuff, making you throw harder, more innings, recover faster and train more frequently allowing you to master your stuff. Martínez longstanding personal trainer was banned from MLB ballparks due to his involvement with steroids. Martínez denied using steroids. So were Alex Rodríguez, Sammy Sosa, Manny Ramírez, Robinson Canó, Tatis and over 50 Dominican players qho have been suspended by MLB for PEDs. The fist step in dealing with a problem is acknowledging that there is one. PEDs enablers are still around selling stardomship and money.

    • @InDepthBaseballYT
      @InDepthBaseballYT 5 днів тому

      The average MLB pitcher is 6'3, 220. I bet you do know smaller guys who threw hard, they are what we call outliers. Pedro is maybe the most extreme outlier that has ever taken the mound, thats why its sick
