8’ Cedar Fence Side by Side Top Cap And Double Trim Footer Pre-dipped wood Arched Cut Cedar Gate
I'm in the market (in the DFW Airport area, North). This is the build I desire. How much per each 8' section, so I may get a rough estimate?
Rip tree branch🥹
How do you figure number of pickets on a board on board fence?
Great Work, good work ethics, makes it easier, nice performance.
Efficient. Good job~👍
Seeing the top edge of the horizontal board after the pickets are on is inexcusable. Should not happen when hiring a pro.
You watched part #1 , now watch part # 2
Maybe allowing for expansion/contraction so it doesn't peak and covering it with a cap piece... Professional tip. 😏
@@mmccary4304 Carguy ain't no fence maker... 😄
He put two nails at the the top of top board. how is he going level it after, the board won't turn wit two nails
Great work overall
Would've been nice to have the picket side w/ double trim (nicer side) for clients to see and not the neighbors.
Screws are a great option as long as they are stainless steel. Cedar will eat any other type of coated screw finish. You must use pure alloys when installing a cedar fence for your fasteners aluminum or stainless steel
Nails are done...., now days screws are the way to go!!!!! I just replaced mine 7ft tall , 200 feet long.....
What would a fence just like this cost per foot ?
on average $50 per foot
I could watch this all day. Great work.
This is #1 grade
Is this #1 grade or #2?
Essentially, your pickets are one solid construction, left end to right end. Does not seasonal expansion and contraction cause buckling of the unified panel? Would it not be better to nail the second course through to the stringer without nailing it through the first course, and let the two course slide past each other with expansion and shrinking?
No the pockets do not move they have 6 nails in them
@@mmccary4304 But, don't the pickets expand in the rain?
How many inches is he measuring in preparation for the top picket?
@@AngelAndTheWolf You would be dead-on if the boards were edge-to-edge, but the boards are not butted together. Each nail will indeed experience force in opposing (shearing) directions from the two pickets it joins, but there is not an aggregation of the sideways expansion and contraction like you'd have with a solid fence with edge-to-edge joined boards. Even if the fence experiences a large percent change in moisture content, it will likely only expand/contract by about 1/8" across a 5.5" wide piece. This probably won't cause a warp, but I do believe that the nails' hold will be loosened by this over a number of years.
DFW wow you guys are local nice! North Dallas here giving you shout outs!
Great looking fence! I wish that I could hire you guys to come and build me one here in Jacksonville Fl. There's nobody here that does beautiful work like that.
