    im ngl mordecai definitely had relationship issues but i think that cj was definitely not cool. she fr almost killed margaret and her entire family over the suspicion that mordecai was cheating which wasnt even true. ig mordo didnt fully let her in but he also didnt trust that *she* would be mature enough to be with mordo and accept that he is still friends with margaret. as much as i believe its mostly mordecais maturity issues that led to the demise of his relationships, having someone be that bent over you and willing to act so shortsightedly as to almost kill ur friend+their family is undoubtedly going to cause a roadblock in the path to mordecai's maturity. cj was jekyll and hyde. she was absolutely completely toxic and does not deserve much sympathy. thats just my opinion tho.

    Loved CJ as a character and felt bittersweet that she never appeared again. Growing up and rewatching the show it hurts seeing Mordecai's lack of maturity and how he fumbled the bag with her. But his feelings (despite his terrible execution on them) are valid especially for this point in his life. Begrudgingly, it's perfect she never came back. He made a lot of big mistakes with her and that's what happens irl. She was more mature and although if he had the maturity they would have been perfect, without her he likely would have never matured and would have continued to make the same mistakes and hurt her more. Nice video man!

    When you're a kid you hate Benson for being a mean killjoy, as an adult you hate Mordecai and Rigby because you know someone like them where you work: slackers who you cannot fire for whatever reason but are the main crux to the vast majority of your stress since their antics always blow back onto you as their superior.

I'm a shift lead with seniority where I work which means my boss puts a lot of trust in me to keep things running when her and the ASM are not there, to the point where I could legitimately put Closing Manager on my resume and my boss would support it, and if I had someone like Mordecai and Rigby working under me I would lose my ever loving mind.

    I like PB but princess PB, Girlfriend PB, and controlling psychopath PB don't get meaningful interplay. The way she acted in the earlier seasons wasn't even really shown to be an act since she still shifts personalities of being kind and compassionate from some episodes to the others. There seems to have been not a clear understanding of what each writer wanted her to be, I at least know 1 writer described her as a high functioning psychopath (Rebecca sugar). It's unfortunately really jarring seeing earlier seasons of PB and Marcy interact in where Marcy could so easily get under her skin and cut forward to PB nonchalantly not caring about the emotional memories a childhood toy have, and being strangely (in whole show) context dismissive in general when earlier seasons of her where very diplomatic and polite to a prissy degree. If you want a morally grey character you have to challenge their you know, morals. Magicman of all characters sticks the landing better than PB which is really weird to say.

    • @srfrancium9728
      @srfrancium9728 Місяць тому

      Can you imagine if Marcy actually kept her in check? Their relationship forcing both of them to grow and not just Marcy? It would've been so cool, the only times i can think of this happening is with hambo or when PB was literally screaming at Simon because her ego was injured.

    She loves protecting her control over her people, her sense of control is her core identity. When she lost that, she had a wakeup call and had the capacity to self-reflect, gain self-awareness, and was shown to make a small but conscious effort to change, and control her own behavior, instead of others, which is a positive quality. She's basically a sociopath who has cognitive empathy, and is less feelings based, but can understand how her need for control can harm her, which, she doesn't want. Choosing to risk herself and her control in order to trust others does not come easily to her.
