"giant cat seen on Platform 1!" Made my day 😆 Mittens looks very similar to my dearly missed Hudson.
Good layout my friend 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hi Jon, is that an 08 dedicated to Mittens ? i try to watch all your updates but not sure if i missed one.
It is indeed my friend. Vid 123. 👍
@@southviewtmd Dont know how i missed that, back in the time machine :-)
@@southviewtmd Ah yes it's coming back to me i remenber now, i commented at the time. Can't believe it was over three months ago. Just put it it down to old age i can't remember what i did this morning 🙂
@vegasbrian nice one. Actually laughed out loud.
@@southviewtmd The downside of retirement - you spend lots of time apologizing for your lack of memory skills :-) I hope everything is still going well for you at KY.
WOW I love a 31 but dose the 37 have any brothers and sisters ❤
@Act-835L next week's vid reveals all!
@ Great you can’t beat a fully loaded growler 😀
Just love these. Thank you!
A pleasure to view, thanks again for sharing your life on the railway with us, absolutely superb images each and every one, thanks Nick.
Great collection of shunters
Many thanks. Appreciated
Wonderful operating matey
Beautiful mate❤❤
Thanks for posting, always good to watch.
You certainly get about a bit . Great pics !
@ballisticbanana3943 many thanks my friend. I used to. I'm jonny one route now. Drax Immingham. 😳
Excellent, enjoyed watching that
Great video Jon, such varied and fabulous traction from Pacers to MPV to 125s to Tugs etc fabulous
@mikewiltshire1725 happy days mate.
Very nice video, likes from me!
@@ЛЬВИНИ many thanks. Appreciated
Blimy Jon your better looking now than then! More cracking shots of 190 and friends, i caught 59202 and 70 that morning at my bridge at Northenden south Manchester near to the RTS plant. As always great footage, thanks for sharing, cheers Nick.
Cracking shots of 190 there and everything else for that matter! Great shots and footage as always thanks for sharing, cheers Nick.
Fabulous photos as usual. Thank you!
@perthsouth5576 That's a very kind comment. Many many thanks.
Nice layout..loving the 31’s. Out of interest why do you feel the Accurascale 31 won’t last?
@Cromptonman Thank you sir. Thats very kind. It's not a quality thing. I mean it won't last in my collection. It'll be on ebay soon. Then buy cheaper hornby ones. 👍
Ah..I get your wisdom😂 I previously owned a couple of Hornby 31’s and must agree they looked and performed very well. I sold them on when I went to 0 gauge so never found out if their chassis rotted out. I’m back with 00 and have an Accurascale 31 and tbh didn’t think there was much difference between the two. I’m tempted to dabble with a Hornby one if I can find the right one 👍🏻
@Cromptonman That's a fair point. I'm very careful with the ones I get. Hopefully no rot. Fingers crossed 🤞
Sorry if my comment was a little rushed, i was at work. Have preordered Accurascale 66190 Martin House as i think some of the proceeds will be going to a great cause Martins House. Have you ever driven her as i know she was an Ex french Shed until a couple of years ago, cheers Nick.
@RedShedNick no need to be sorry at all. I've got it on order too. It's been a Knottingley regular a few times. I've been fortunate to have it single handed on a charter into drax and sandwiched between 073/050 also on a charter into drax (in my charter video. Part 3 I think)
Video 122 and 129 if you're interested
@@southviewtmd👍👍will view thanks
Wonderful images, some make me sad, and happy, oh db miss the Tugs and Skodas, still the main thing is the sheds are fine. Really enjoyed this, thanks for sharing your life on the rails with us, cheers Nick.
@RedShedNick Thank you so much. Very kind. Yes its all rather sad how it's become.
Those Mk 2b/c's look so sweet
3 on cements - wow had one failed !!! As usual
@mikewiltshire1725 thanks for the kind comments. Appreciated my friend. No. 2 had failed. Lol.
They look and sound so guid❤❤❤
Ghoile heaven or hell Jon 😂😂😂😂
I was just looking through one if my rolling stock guides & noticed that the push/pull coaches used on the Glasgow/Edingburgh service were Mk2 built 1965 & converted to air brakes especially for that service..& not Mk2a's 1967 built
Very nice indeed....😊
Excellent video Jon, the time transition of you in the cab gets me!
Love that shot of you from a wee while ago Jon !!!!
Perfect 80s BR - 3 x37s.on the Port Talbots and a top and tail 27 pairing. Great stuff Jon ❤❤❤
Hi, nice looking and sounding Locos and Stock. Thanks for posting.
Hi Jon, hope you are well. Fantastic footage, looks great in 4k, crystal clear. .........Andy
@Andy-SharlstonEastgate Hi Andy. Thanks for the comment. Appreciate the kind words. It's definitely better. Takes up more memory on the phone though! All ok here just so very busy. Hope all ok with you. Cheers. Jon
Great video the peak reminded me of the Tpo trainsfro Bristol in the 1980s
You have a really good level of modelling.Your railway, your rules. I've got dinosaurs on mine, because two year old grandson who loves to play trains, also loves dinosaurs.
Fabulous!
Dirty rail blue tractors love it. B4 I had to dismantle my layout I had 3 37's on a rake of tipplers that never came off the layout
Blimey mate, those mk2 coaches are over £60 each!
They are indeed. Been saving up for a long time. Well worth it. No derailments. Best coaches I own.
Great modelling have jus subscribed
Thank you so much. That's very kind
Glasgow/Edinburgh Push/Pull sets were made up of Mk2 and Mk2a air braked stock not MK2b. Formation being BSO, FK, TSO, TSO, TSO, TSO. If you are going to model something please get it right.
Unbelievable comment, it's his "model railway" to run what he likes and it's very good too
A model railway replicates the real thing, so it must be copied correctly. Otherwise don't bother doing it, all my locos and stock are matched to Time, Livery and Era. No loco will run with stock it shouldn't.
@@IainDavies-z2lYou are obviously a dedicated perfectionist with your train set, most people enjoy it as a hobby running trains they want to for enjoyment and that is not for you to criticise disrespectfully as you have hear. Have a look on UA-cam and you will find you are in a minority.
It's a model railway, it must be ran as the real railway I worked on for 43 years.
@@IainDavies-z2l So what period and scale do you do you "model" then?
Just to advise you, 73/1s and 73/0s cannot work in multiple, the 73/0s (JA) can only work in multiple with another 73/0. 73/1s (JB) can also only work with fellow 73/1s. This is down to each class having a different control system, which is different from each sub class. They could work in tandem, but on no account were the 27 way control jumpers to be connected between a 73/0 and a 73/1, only air brake pipes, vacuum brake pipes were permitted to be joined together, normally the ones on the buffer beams. Hope this helps, not being pedantic, just pointing out something , I worked on class 73s for many years. Great layout, love it.
@@johnhorton5364 Thanks. Appreciate the reply. You are very correct. It's also why I said in Tandom not in multiple. Thank you for the layout comment. Very kind. 👍
@@southviewtmd I hated working in tandem, being on the back loco with the front one pulling, rough ride those 73s lol , didnt exactly relish coupling up a 73 to a 33 from underneath at stewarts Lane for the short hop to London Victoria with locos for tge Hastings a d Dover Paper trains, loved the atmosphere in Victoria at night though, if I was lucky I got told to make my way home and caught the 03:15 papers to Margate - ah the memories
Very nice 👍🏻
@@ShelfburyModelRailway Very kind thank you. 👍
Excellent bit of running there. Great traction and clickity clack as well 👍
@garethdavies2973 Very much appreciated. Thank you for commenting 👍
Nah BR blue any day lol
@GregPalmer1000 Agreed 100% But I do enjoy some 60s.
Fantastic tribute to Mittens :-) Great to see another colleague helping out with a few "different" locos. I still remember the immense joy i got from seeing my locos on your layout. Nice to see a few more 60's creeping in....LOL. All the best - Brian.
@vegasbrian Thank you so much my good friend. I'm very lucky. 60s now at 13. Appreciate the comment. 👍
Was glued to the screan magical, thanks for sharing, oh hope you are ordering 66190 Martin House Accurascale, i just have.
@RedShedNick Thank you. What a lovely thing to say. Very much appreciated. Yes. I ordered it straight away. It's a regular at Knottingley and a firm favourite in my book.
EX Frenchshed too!
Great looking VSOE, looks a little familiar 🤔 haha. Thanks for the update, keep them coming 👍
@GoodfordModelRailway Nice one! Looks good. Really happy with it. Thank you 😊
Awesome as usual Sir - new stock looks stunning

And the Mk 2's are stunning, very nice !!

Another fantastic BR Blue session Jon, lovely trackside shots and beautiful locos. I like the populated platforms, lots of detail and it comes to life with the platform announcements. 1st Class once again. All the best....Andy
I love the pair of class 31s and the rake they are pulling and nice weathering. All the best Colin from Mossend railway oo.

What a tribute there for Mittens! Other than db we share our love for our dear Cats for sure. Fantastic shots of some of your locos there. I picked up Accurascale 37405 Harry Needle, its wonderful! Thanks for sharing, and have a great weekend, take care cheers Nick.
