Thanks for your comment... Although not recommended for aerobatics by Van's (designer) it is capable. Designed stress limit in utility category is (+4.4/-1.75G) at less than 1600 lbs gross weight. An aileron roll is very safe in this airplane.

Hi Paul, thanks for compliment... I try to maintain 70mph on final and 60mph or less over the fence. Try not to gain any speed during slip (hard not to). slips are easy enough, but when nose is pushed dwn it will gain speed! Its safe enough, just a challenge!!

@@tomcallender7421 It's quite amazing what Vans did with the wing design on the 9. The stall speed is pretty low. I'm in the process of looking at a 9 for purchase. Fly safe Tom, maybe we'll meet one of these days. 🙂
