8:12 misnomer and misinterpretation. Karyogamy = karyo (nucleus), gamos= marriage Literal meaning is fusion of nuclei. Splitting of nucleus is not karyogamy.
You are absolutely right! It should be karyokinesis, not karyogamy.

Just a little comment but the forests from the south of south América do not behave like other temperate decidous forests, it rains all year-round and most plants remain green all troughout the year. The forests there are called cold rainforests or valdivian jungles. Furthermore, your map places the atacama desert, the driest desert in the world as a forest. Nice video, but its missing a bit of information there
Thank you for adding this information! I plan to make separate videos on each biome and will be sure to include this. I got the map from a popular textbook, so looks like I will need to re-evaluate my sources 🙂.
A good summary of climate on earth. But it still inserts a theory of man made climate change at the end.
It is funny that you mention this. I spent quite a bunch of time thinking on whether to include this information or not since the video was more on abiotic factors. In the end it did make the cut 🙂.
Cheer~~a mature haploid male or female germ cell which is able to unite with another of the opposite sex in sexual reproduction to form a zygote.😊

hello, u forgot environment afftects evolution. Whale was first a hairy mammal that jumped to sea and became whale and developed gills.
Thank you for watching the video and posting a comment. It is correct that the environment affects evolution and this is covered as part of natural selection in the video. You are also right that ancestors of modern day whales were terrestrial and adapted to an aquatic life. They did retain their lungs though and did not develop gills. Still, it is pretty amazing that a terrestrial animal adapted to an aquatic environment. Keep enjoying the amazing world of science!!
This video is like a proper package as it covers everything about this topic. Thank you so much ❤
You are very welcome!
Very helpful!
Thank you and I glad it helped!

Can the human body make its own viruses?
If the human body is infected with a virus, then it can make more of it.
Its basically how life started on earth and kingdoms not evolution of immunity!
You are right that this specific video does not delve much into evolution of immunity. It is the first video of a series that describe the different ways organisms defend themselves. In this video, the viewers are introduced to the way life evolved. There are videos on defenses found in prokaryotes, protists, fungi, plants, and animals. They will delve into more mechanisms of defense.
nice, keep making videos
Thank you!
