Hi, Please contact customerservices@hrhealthcare.co.uk for assistance.
Thank this was super helpful I'm not used to doing medical things by myself so its reassuring to have a guide
After how much time should we change the bandage?
One day i guess
We just started using Polymem and I used them in two of my patients that I was having difficulty healing them. Three weeks later you can see a big difference how much better the wounds look.
I watched your video. Your channel is very good, and channel videos are very good. People are interested in watching your channel videos. Your channel had enough videos to be monetized, But the videos don't reach millions of people, because there are some problems, Channel videos are not SEO optimized. On page SEO, and off page SEO not done. These are required to increase the channel. Then the views and subscribers of the channel will increase day by day. Then turn on monetization

Excellent video! Please follow it up with a detailed Instructions for Use video. PolyMem dressings should NOT be changed on a schedule. The components interact with the body, so the amount of exudate a wound produces after PolyMem is applied is likely to be more or less than what was produced before. That is why it is important to look at the dressing backing several times a day. Change the dressings when the darker color that indicates that the dressing has absorbed exudate reaches any wound margin. If you draw the wound margins on the backing in advance, it is easy to see when the exudate "crosses the line" - that is when to change the dressings. Simply remove the spent PolyMem dressing and replace it. No routine rinsing is required.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
¿Que?
I've read everything I can about PolyMem, but I don't see it in context of scar prevention specifically. I had a mastoplexy and my sutures spit, causing lesions and openings all around my incisions. My surgeon isn't local to me, and can't help. Can you comment on the efficacy of these for scar prevention in general?
Because they decrease secondary inflammation, PolyMem use usually results in a stronger, smoother scar. I recommend continuing using PolyMem for the first month of remodeling, or until the area no longer appears inflamed (red, edematous, or weeping).
PolyMem controls inflammation, even over intact skin. Excess inflammation is what causes poor scarring, so controlling inflammation is the key to a smooth, strong ,less noticeable scar.
My Mum can't stand the pain of her ulcer, and Codiene makes her confused, I am hoping my GP will kindly prescribe this so we can get her wound healed. I have heard from a reliable source that glycerin does in fact heal wounds but how would you apply that to her wound, well heres the answer right! Fingers crossed my GP will be sympathetic to my plea. Urgostart Plus is causing Mum too much pain. This video looks like you put marshmallow on a wound ;)
How well would this replace a wound vac on a wound smaller than 4 in and very deep?
And not very deep
Thanks for your enquiry. Whilst it is difficult to comment on individual wound scenarios without any patient or clinical history we would like to try and answer your question. PolyMem does not provide negative pressure to a wound like topical negative pressure (vac). It is a membrane dressing with multifactorial components that work synergistically to modulate the inflammatory response and control of pain associated with tissue injury. If you are looking to change from topical negative pressure dressings to an alternative PolyMem could be an option. If you would like any further information and are based in the UK, please contact customerservices@hrhealthcare.co.uk or alternatively please get in touch with the manufacturer.
Can u or should u use silver alginate to cover wound before putting on polymem max dressing ....reason I ask ...I was using silver alginate on my wound and dry max to cover silver alginate to pull drainage from wound...but instead of dry max pads I received polymem max dressing pads...now after seeing this video I'm thinking I didn't need to put the silver alginate on with the polymem max dressing
Thank you for your comment. It's quite difficult to advise on individual clinical cases without further background history. To answer your question - PolyMem Max dressing does not contain any antimicrobial properties (we do a silver PolyMem for this), however PolyMem Max does contain a surfactant within its matrix to cleanse the wound bed and absorb exudate within the dressing. We would therefore not advise using any other dressings under PolyMem as this would prevent the dressing working effectively. If your wound does require an antimicrobial dressing we advise you discuss this with your treating clinical team.
This pump is bran new and doesnt work. The pump attachments pop out ...flimsy . Wouldnt recomend. Insurance has paid and now i have out of pocket cost for something that never worked i did wait a month after final piece was sent to call. Thats on me. The compression industry is costly not the first product that not worked right. Shouldnt have sign for something that wasn't complete and working. Insurance or no insurance. Live and learn
Sorry to hear you are having issues with your device. We only distribute these products in the UK, please get in touch with the manufacturer with any issues you have with the product.
@@hrhealthcareuk7131 mine is identical, same model # with a big old AMERICA flag sticker on top. Maybe the us company is not representing your company well. If its outsourced thats even worst.
Absolutely facinating
Can i use this to any site of wound like buttocks bedsore?
Thanks for your comment. Yes this can be used on bedsores on the buttocks.
Very clear method of what to do with flaps on back of dressing - remove them after dressing put on wound not before.
Seems more beneficial to not change the dressing.. how often do you change this dressing?
Hi Steven. Thanks for your question. PolyMem dressings can be in place for when good practice dictates or up to 7 days.
@@hrhealthcareuk7131 Thanks.. I have some on order, should arrive soon.
@@hrhealthcareuk7131 That is NOT correct!!! PolyMem should be changed as soon as the exudate, visible through the dressing's film backing, reaches any of the wound margins. That can be as soon as in half a day for very dirty wounds, or as long as a week in clean granulating wounds. Rather than giving patients a change schedule, I mark the approximate wound margins on the back of the dressing when I apply it, then tell them to change it when the dark color "crosses the line." At that time, the patient or family should simply remove the old dressing, apply a new one, and mark the wound edges on the back so they will know when next to change the dressing.
@@TheAustinmum can I use a Tegaderm clear adhensive dressing stick on top to keep it in place?. Also I read if wound is dry to wet dressing a little to help it stick? Would using sterile water be fine? Thanks.
@@Jand4291@Jand4291 The backing of the dressing is designed to allow exactly the right amount of moisture to evaporate through it. Adding Tegaderm over top messes that up. You can put adhesives along all of the sides, or you can buy a polymem dressing that comes with adhesives already, or you can hold it in place with stretch gauze or elastic netting. Before you use PolyMem for the first time, clean the wound well, then rinse with plain water or saline. Dry the skin around the open wound area, but leave the open wound itself wet. Apply the PolyMem on the wet wound. Change when the darker color that indicates that the dressing is saturated reaches any of the wound borders. You don't want the dressing to stick to the open wound area, because that will damage the fragile new tissue. When PolyMem is changed at appropriate intervals, sticking is not an issue.
