Frostpunk 2 is made on Unreal Engine 5. City Builder + UE5 make the game quite demanding. There is a pre-compilation of shaders, but there may still be stuttering in the first minutes of gameplay. Then the game will work quite smoothly. Ultra Quality in Upscaling Quality is the native screen resolution. A couple of tips for increasing fps: 1) Use Smart Access Memory (SAM) for AMD and Resizable BAR for Nvidia. This gives an increase not only in Frostpunk 2 but also in other UE5 games. 2) Use the new AMD driver 24.20.11.01 for RDNA. For example, RX 6600 XT showed 47 fps (static scene) on 24.20.11.01 versus 44-45 fps with the previous driver used in my video. Unfortunately, I recorded the video before the new driver was released. P.S.: The first two points don't give much fps separately, but together it is already quite noticeable. 3) Frame Generation works quite well in this game. I played about 8 hours with FG and didn't find any noticeable problems. I can recommend using medium + FG + 1080p or medium + FG + FSR: Quality + 1440p for RX 6600 XT and High + FG + 1440p for RX 6950 XT. bro how come u have a stable gpu temp like 67c?! My gigabyte rx 6600xt eagle has been like 2 years since I have it, and outta nowhere I seen the core temps going like 76c and hotspot temps being 95 to 98c. Told this to the seller and he told me he'd have it rma but it went to the service center and got it repasted. After the repasting, I didnt see nor noticed anything until two days and the temps were like 79c core and hotspot being 105c. Tested multiple games before repasting and after repasting, and all even a game like gta 5 had a worse temp. Thought of deep cleaning by taking out everything and my front mounted rad (intake) had some dust on pulling end. I cleaned everything with the help of my friend and seems to bring down the temp a little down, it went like core temps hover around 75 to 77c and hotspot being slowly rising towards 98 and 100 then going back again 98 while playing this. Alongside, game like nfs unbound giving me hotspot temps like 95c. Thought of changing the case from cmp510 to lian li lancool 216 for mounting my radiator as exhaust on top and for better thermal performance and efficient cleaning. What do u think the problem could be? Should I test my gpu on my friends system?

Been testing this game with the same graphics card. It is playable, just a lot of tweaking. And I mean a lot. Games like this I play with my PC connected to my TV. This way I can adjust picture and the details via one of the preset picture modes that I never use.

I am living the DRM free life now. I have had enough of my hardware being bottlenecked by this BS. I didn't pay £1400 to get £800 worth of performance. DRM can just get lost, I don't pirate my games I just buy games that don't have DRM (Like the many games on gog, such as baldur's gate 3, witcher 3). I just came here to see just how bad the DRM actually is side by side, and got my answer

How did you managed to keep GPU temps around 70s? Mine is going crazy, sometimes above 100 degrees :/

Cap the game on 35 fps with rtss. It'll play as smooth as 30fps on console.

Do you think a 5600xt and a ryzen 5500 is enough for low to medium settings. If I have too I’ll probably get a ryzen 5600 instead of the 5500 since I have a 3100.

u see tthe problem with driver suport ppl always said amd is for the gamer, price to performance bulshit this is why i hate amd when the driver not suport anymore(plaris,radeon vega,r9 etc) or the problem with the card like this this thy just focus on rdna only bc i have 580 4gb back then then i see stop driver update i bought rtx4060 gtx 1650 4Gb still can run this game
