Status Quo were never the best or biggest rock band in the world EVER! There are hundreds of bands bigger than them. Francis claims they've sold approx 110 million but Alan Lancaster claimed they sold more like 40 million. And they were never big in the US. Except for their early hit matchstick men. The Beatles were the biggest EVER and best.

Es war sehr knapp ca 2003, damals spielte Status quo auch dort, konnte damals leider nicht, 2012 dann auf der Donau Bühne in Tulln, war live dabei, 1,5 Std volles Rock boogie programm, rick startete caroline mit dem bekannten riff, unter dem drone, es war extrem laut, aber...das beste was ich jemals live gesehen hatte. Die fuhren ab, haben wirklich Stoff gegeben. Mein Bruder sass damals neben mir, von unserem Platz hatten wir alles im Blick m, die gesamte Bühne, ca 3000 bis 5000 Personen...am Schluss konnte niemand mehr ruhig sitzen, spätestens beim 3 Song war alles auf den Beinen. Big fat mama und the oriental sowie down down waren die wirklichen Highlights. Danke Status quo für eure Auftritte.

Some really weird things going on during this gig...like the strange strutting around the stage at times, playing some of the songs stupidly fast and the bloke rocking out at the end with what appeared to be a kettle in his hand!
