Welcome to my UA-cam channel! I have been an avid jewelry and mixed media maker for over 20 years. I enjoy sharing tips and techniques on various mediums. Not being formally trained, I have learned by taking classes, online tutorials and my own trial and error. I am always up for a good challenge and to learn new things. I hope you enjoy watching my videos and maybe learn a little something. The majority of my videos are from my free bimonthly Live demos in my Facebook group The Artisan's Workshop Jewelry/Mixed Media Community. Since these videos are from Live broadcasts real time comments aren't visible here on UA-cam. The majority of the demos have accompanying instruction handouts that you can print out if you are a group member. If you are interested in joining the group just send a request to join. Love to have you!

Thanks so much for sharing this great tutorial!!! ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Sue!
Hi Sue!
Beautiful
Thank you!
Wow your art is AMAZING!!!! You are sooo Lovely & talented! Thank you!
Thanks so much!
I did the first coat and let it dry for a long time. I put the transfer on it and made sure it was rubbed well on. When I applied the top coat (and resin was mixed correctly) and when it dried the transfer wrinkled a bit inside on every coaster. What could be causing that?
Hi this is Celine from India. Manufacturing of enamel photo medals. I am interested in ur video
Hi I want to print is there any spl ink. Cd u pl help me in this question
It is the $1.25, $2, $3 and $5 dollar tree. If we wait much longer, I have a feeling they will find some $10 items to sell. I have found your channel and love to watch you. I have been working Fabricated, free-form wire, lampwork glass, fusing, chainmaille and lost wax casing for over 50 years. I love to watch a fellow artist at work. Thank you for sharing I do sell on Etsy but have found live auctions are more satisfying and fun. I love to share and the people who watch me are learning some of what I do. At 77 years old I feel we have to keep what I do going after I go to the next level when my Expire date comes.
Thanks a bunch!
I LOVE the necklace you're wearing in this video!
Thank you!
Beautiful necklaces😊
Thank you!
Hi Susan how's your day today? 👋🤣👍
Thanks, Sue, for always inspiring us! <3
Dressmaker pencil would wipe off as you go along. Thanks again. Sandra is great advice to 😊
I would use old thick antique frames.
It was enjoyable to spend this time with you. Gave me many ideas
What would you say is the best total weight for a finished window?
Maybe 15 or 20 lbs. Hard to say really. :)
In the center making them pop out,eye catcher smart
You can use a little Vaseline to make clean up easy or blue painters tape
Throw a little color in now
Popsicle sticks work the best or emery board smallest one
As a demo showing the way to do the steps is fine to use up items already on hand.
Why are you using vintage items that can't be replaced such as the fostoria and depression glass? Please don't!
I rather like the idea of enjoying it more displayed in a window than tucked away in a dark cupboard.
Where do you purchase red rubber stamps?
Many craft stores have them. I especially like invokearts.com stamps.
An effective exhaust system is necessary! I am shocked when they work without it. I highly recommend installing and using it. Very toxic powders shorten life when heated. I make my own enamel compositions and I know how toxic they are.
It took me a long time to realize when I got beads on a string I didn't have to take them off the string and put in tubes lol
Great enameling tips! Especially the chalk tip!
I’m very interested in the slim mandrel you have xtras of.
I have two sizes. I use the 1/16th for enameling copper discs and the even thinner one for enameling metal filigree beads. You can email me at: artisansworkshop@att.net for more info. Thanks!
Thank you so much ❤ what size are the mandrels?.
3/32"
so beautiful, thank you for the tutorial
Thank you. I’ll have to try it’
❤❤❤❤❤
Love seeing you work through your project in real time, and how you get past the mishaps. Not embarrassing, it’s real life, and exactly what’s happening to all of us. Thank you for not editing it out.
It happens more often than I'd like, lol. Thanks for watching!
OMG! I always put the end with the hole in the collet. How dumb am I? Thanks!
Actually that's how I think it's supposed to be! I can't unlearn it now, lol.
Thank you for the fusing tip…I can’t wait to try using your method of making the “D” first.
My question is, how do I design my OWN glass-fusing decals???? I am an artist and I want to create my own decals.
Thank you for this video. Please can you offer help. The solder doesn't seem to stick to my copper. It peels off once cool
It's usually an issue where not enough flux is applied. Flux is your friend!!
@@snoozin1011 thank you
Thanks for sharing 😊
My pleasure 😊
Cute! TFS
For what the fuck is this ???
Excellent two part live, wish I was there at the time to see it, accidents happen, glad you got the live back up again. Thanks so much for the kind mentions. This video was extremely professional and informative! Loved this! Also, the Sinker does come in big twin bottles, if they have it in stock. Keep up the amazing work and thank you again Susan 🥰❤x
Another stoning bracelet
What a beautiful bracelet, good idea to used all superduo leftover
Hi Susan Ive just started watching you & im getting a clay kiln that also fires , glass & enamel, because i do stained glass & also learning pottery & fused glass now i want to learn this as i adore copper & the beautiful effects of enamelling, would you please do a video on kiln enamelling please i live remote & this is the only way i can learn things. Thankyou 😊 that last enamelled dish with the green & red on it is my favourite their awesome
Hi susan Can i ask how you got the imprint o the copper first & what you used to cut the different shapes out of copper & the size or thickness of copper, i am a stained-glass Artist & ive never seen this technique, ive just subscribed so i havent seen yr other video's can you show in a tutorial if you dont already have one the process of the copper first 😊 Thankyou i love this look its awesome
The patterned metal was made by running it through a rolling mill with a patterned steel plate. A similar effect can be made using texture hammers without a rolling mill. Also a different process can etch texture with ferric chloride. You may want to Google search examples those processes as it's too much for me to explain here. They are new rabbit holes to go down!
@@snoozin1011 yes I'll do that Thanks for the demo it was awesome I go down many rabbit holes
Is your apron on backwards?
No, lol. I record on my cell phone and that makes it appear reversed.
Thank you 😊
Where can I get the elastic bands? Do they come in different sizes? That's just what I need!
Hi
What temperature do you have your solder iron on to get solder to liquify like that? Thanks
❤
So lovely! Thank you for the great tutorial!
