My biggest 'issue' with this scene: Why didn't bro transform without being seen before running over...
He saved the entire city and has a fortitude of 9.8... his gf: "You are under arrest"
Is it me or am I bored out of my mind out of the "let's weaponize the special character with powers beyond our understanding" trope? I unironically think this could've been way better if he kept this secret for much, *much* longer and it was a main element to the plot that he plays cat and mouse with his Division between trying to control his powers and keep it hidden the entire time. Now, what's most likely gonna happen is he completely abandons the cool power suits entirely and primarily focuses on his Kaiji form. Like with what Eren did in Attack on Titan. During that entire show he only ever killed two Titans with O.D.M. gear and it just would've been cool to see him master both the normal human weaponry so that the special power was a Trump card he played last rather than the only thing he does.

Man, it's like Attack on Titan and Guyver were merged into another anime series with a dash of One Punch Man. The Japanese always knew how to portray the explosive superpower in a battle.❤

You kinda have to look at it from their perspective. We know how he became a kaiju with the dragonfly but they dont. To them, this random guy suddenly transformed to a kaiju with one of the biggest fortitude levels ever measured and punched a big ass bomb to the stratosphere

This has to be the one of the most kick ass movement in the history of any anime...Loved it
I never understood why the instant fear from the squad and the defense force. Their suits and weapons are literally taxidermied monster muscles and nerves that they have to sync their nervous system with to use. Kafka is just wearing a living monster suit. Hell even the design matches #8. They even have matching dorsal spines and reinforced collarbones.
They got scared by the fact he had a whole ass fortitude level while they dont. The fortitude level made them certain that he was a kaiju. That is just my thought tho
@StupidlyLazy In every instance of #8 the defense force knows of. #8 either destroyed stray kaijus or protected the defense force squad members his fellow rookies on 2 different occasions and those 2 masked nobodies that Kafka has to save instead of finishing off #9 and letting him get away or the other 2 nobodies he protects from the explosion instead of running away.

@StupidlyLazy no he may of just wanted to kill something but #8 has actively saved 7 squad members over 3 instances and then the entire squad and staff with that punch.
@ My point still stands, imagine seeing something that you were made to believe is a killing machine and then it starts to save you. You would not believe it

Eh, it's not as good as the best from studio Mappa, but it's high quality, no doubt. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is peak animation.

Weird how the manga and anime were able to convey different feelings when kafka gives the side eye look to the cap. Manga gives the feel like hes sad but anime gives off as being tired

Attack on Titan's plot is much more complex, but Kaiju no. 8 is more fun, people aren't constantly yelling at each other.
