My mission is to empower others to live a more adventurous, healthy, joyful, and fulfilling life.
I am fascinated with the human body and how we can optimize to function at the highest level possible. Special interests in functional medicine, longevity, nutrition science, and holistic view to health. I strive to deeper understand the connection between the mind, body, and spirit.
I grew up playing sports all day, every day. I played football, basketball, and ran track in high school, playing a bit of basketball at the collegiate level. Ran a marathon. I have always been a hard worker, and I will continue to pursue challenges, play sports, get outside, mtn bike, ski, etc.
I love to travel and experience the world.

it's so true about the runner's high not happening straight away. I remember when I first started running, after a few months I remember so clearly this one run I was on where I was like "well I set out to do 10 k, I just did so I can go home now... oooooor..." and then I ended up running straight through another 2-3 km, the longest distance i had done at that point and it wasn't even a slog, it was effortless. it made me so happy and I'll always remember it, been chasing that ever since lol
What if I run twice a week starting out ? I been running twice a week 2-5 miles each run for about 2 weeks now and it seems really good so far . My goal is to do 5 miles a run until I can do that easily than go for over an hour runs

Ran 7.3 miles yesterday in just under an hour. 3 years ago I couldn't run a 1/4 mile without sucking wind so hard I had to stop.

I have never experienced "runner's high" - it's either not a thing that everyone gets, or it's an overhype of something that's really close to nothing.
@@pixelfive1272 it’s different for everyone- curious how far / long you run / and effort level ? Usually I’ve experienced it when I’m running a newly really fast pace at a far distance haha. 🤣 I almost get goosebumps when experiencing it.

When new runners are starting it will be difficult! Tell your mind you ain’t gonna give up. You don’t have to run fast, start slow jog run and lil by lil you’ll get good. Fk stress
Got sober in March of 2021 and slowly started to run. I was on every anti depressant and anxiety drug there was and was overweight. I ate for crap and had zero self esteem. I just turned 58 and I’m in the best shape of my life ~ I’ve never felt this good and now have a peace, calm, and self confidence I was seeking in the bottle. I run 5 miles 5 days a week each morning and it’s the best “high” I’ve ever had! Best advice I had when I started to run again was start each run slow and steady and let your body acclimate. There is hope and there is a solution!
You should run and lift weights. If you look at the average man that just runs you end up skinny with no muscle mass.

Compression shorts with side pockets are a must for me. I actually wear a pair of 2in1 shorts from adidas so I don't have to wear normal shorts over the compression ones, and they don't block the side pockets
