Metal detecting old yards with the DEUS
Nice video! I've had about 15 machines over the last 20 years. I agree with everything you said in this video and it echos my experience as well. Now I have the Legend which I bought for new for the price of the triple score (My only complaint with the legend is its secret added menu system needs some refinement which they may have done with the triple score) The F75 LTD had a Bottle Cap rejection but it's a far cry from the Nokta performance. I owned the Original Deus and my issue was charging seems like the HFcoil would get low on power before the control box or the headphones would die before the coil (Also IMO charging the coil adaptor needed improvement) Audio was the best of any metal detector you could tell size and shape of an object just by wiggling the coil off the object. Something only a Tesoro was capable off. I actually sold all my machines and only have the Legend. I'm on the fence of trying the WS6 or an Minelab Elite I'm just not convinced the experience will be that much better than what I'm getting right now out of the Legend. I'd like to try the Manitcore but not for $1700 that's pretty pricey for a weekend warrior and I too have owned the Equionox and Etrac and have had trouble with training my ears to the fluty audio.
Have you got any advice for how best to deal with emi on the deus 2?
@@jonsessions2121 I haven’t had much issue with EMI on the D2. If frequency scan doesn’t work in your site, try mono program or reduce the sensitivity/raise reactivity
Nice to meet you here 😊
Great video! The original F75 was a beast of a detector back in the day, I was using it around 2009 and found many civil war relics with it. The only issue is it wasn’t submersible and I had to put a bag over the control boxes when hunting in heavy down pours. It’s also crazy to think it was like $999 back then. Now days a $1k machine will get you so much more technology and performance.
How well does the relic mode work? What are your thoughts on it?
@@whiteoak718 it’s basically worthless for my type hunting, which is ironically relic hunting. Despite having some cool features like adjustable audio response. It just doesn’t perform for me
Good morning!!😊
I've hade the Deus for about ten years. Love it but I got the Legend for under saltwater. Love it too. Like you, I hunt with tones. The numbers are a time wasting distraction.
Have you found the triple score to be overly chattery in public parks? I haven’t gone out and hunted with mine yet but a few people said it’s chattery when it shouldn’t be, but I’ve heard that it’s fine from most people.
@@globofgreen it can be chatty if you set it up like that. But it can also be very tame if you’d like. The only issue I’ve had repeatedly is using M2 with the larger coil can produce some pretty serious feedback in my very mild soil. In a park you’d rather use M1 or M3 anyway so it does very well in those conditions. I use 60 tone and it’s pleasant to run.
@ thank you
"You may be able to pair other headphones to this" You can, I watched another UA-cam detectorist recently that used some Bluetooth earbuds with his triple. That's what I would have to do, over ear headphones are too hot in warm or hot weather - fine in cool/cold weather though.
Just ordered a triple score this week can’t wait for it to come in so I can give it a swing
F75. The 'Grand-Daddy of the moderb era machines. "The hybrid". The pioneering machine, that most hunters at that time asked, "Yeh, but how does it stack-up against the F75?" A veteran now. A true Legend. In 2008 I crossed over from analogue to semi-digital. My UK Tejon got put up for the 75. I still have my original 75, plus a 75 LTD. Then came the Deus 1 from French giants XP. A superb site machine, truly "awesome". Light, compact, superb performer in iron. And now Deus 2, the ultimate "Leatherman" metal detector. Which one do I swear by? My F75s.
Nice vid. I sold my equinox 800 and picked up the Deus. Never looked back. Ears did not work with minelab tones like Deus’s tones and nuances. Now I run a Deus 2. Good machine. I hunted a bunch in the fresh water with the xpd 1. I used xp’s water bag, hung it around my neck. Ran the coil antenna like normal and clipped the one end to my hat. Worked great. Found a lot of lost jewelry.
Great analysis and comparison. I learned a lot. Thank you. This is the first video I've seen of yours, and I've subbed to your channel.
Seu vídeo é Muito bom.
You can also get grey ghost big headphones the deus 2 puck clips into, I have a grey ghost finds bag and it's great, so the headphones I like to think are just as good, although I don't have a deus 2 puck I just have the full remote, I've thought about getting a puck but I film all my videos so I can't really use headphones anyways, rather save my money to get the new coil when it comes out anyways
Great lineup , someone would be well armed with any of these !!!!
Absolutely incredible video. Thank you so much. This was 100% spot on and answered all of my questions and more! I appreciate you taking the time to follow up my questions on the last video by making a new video!

Just ordered my Triple Score this morning!
First thing is that stupid swing your doing , you do not know how to use the machine
Which is the better machine in your honest opinion? I’m thinking about trading my F75 plus for the triple score.
@@coilslinger the triple has enough over the f75 as far as speed, versatility, and customization that I would not hesitate to trade up.
@ thanks for your input and thank you for posting this video.
@ I will make a video later this week about the triple and the f75.
@ ok, I just subscribed today so I’ll definitely keep an eye out for it.
Curious do you still have your test garden where you have taken the Patriot and T2? Im just a little hesitant yet on TS purchase and would like to see it go through the same paces.
@@markdoehrman5134 sadly I don’t. I moved from there a couple years back. I’ve got many hundreds of hours on the t2 but I would say that the triple does have the edge in most scenarios. Outright depth is comparable to the t2. Separation is better. Audio is better. Features are better. Ergonomics goes to the t2 in my opinion. Only the DEUS has better ergonomics than the t2. Speaking of DEUS, I’d just get a DEUS 2 and forget the rest. I got a ws6 and coil for my DEUS 1 shaft and it’s by far my favorite detector.
This is the problem with Multi freq, the public wanted it, but we did NOT need it, the manticore is mega noisy, and on beach, the freq is set, not matter what beach mode you are in, we have all be miss lead
What detector would you recommend? The Triple Score bundle package is a great deal.
Nice little Mexican Reale!! That was a shocker!!
New sub here from New England (howdy) anyway, we have a permission that had a 1718 house ( burnt) then a 1840’s house built on top ( burnt) next to a blacksmiths shop ( torn down 1930’) covers maybe 2 acre area and is the most old iron I’ve ever detected in. We’ve been hitting it for 4 years now and every time we swing it, something cool comes up. We’re trying to talk the farmer into discing it as it hasn’t been touched for at least 50 years. His family has owned the property since it was granted by the English crown in 1716. The total acreage is over 200 but that little spot really gives up good stuff but you need to know your machine to be successful. We use Deus ll’s and equinox 800’s. Your video shows the importance of knowing your machine and how to make it adaptable in such situations, lots of diggers I know will just walk away from spots like that, their loss I guess😀
Love the legend I dug 3 coppers today alone 1797 Drape bust was one of them
The Triple Score wouldn't be any good to me here in Canada as I need 40kh for our coins!
@@billbarry2984 it does have 40 kHz max in the m2 frequency but not as a single frequency. For that you’d need a DEUS 1 or DEUS 2. DEUS 2 is about to receive an HF coil which will put it up into the really high kHz prolly 70+.
Nice vid,, il hope nokta fix or make a New. Update for the triple score to make the machine more stable in m2 so you can hear the deep targets more clear,, than falsing on the ground minerals m1 and m3 are much more stable buth doesnt go deeper and skips the tiny Silver and gold,,i have a simplex + with 13 inch detech that smacks deep tiny targets and is stable on ground where the Triple get grazy 🤔and when you put the triple in single freq its stable but doesnt go deep. Like the old single freq machines.for example the Simplex 12 khz,, thats a little bit strange,, in my tests New VS old tech single freq,,the old tech wins,, can you please test that in single freq,, im guesing there is something wrong with my triple 🤦♂️🤔
Thanks for demonstration and posting..
I'm glad I found this video. Any more testing with the F75 vs tripple score or Deus 2 would be greatly appreciated. I've been using the F75 as my only detector for the last 4 years. I have no complaints other than it not being waterproof. That's why I'm thinking of upgrading to one of those two machines, but I want to make sure I don't loose the awesome depth I get with the F75.
@@Ken.Kaniff.From.Conn. I can assure you that the Minelab elite or Nokta triple score is a certain upgrade over the f75. Pretty much in every department except possibly ergonomics. If you do upgrade, contact Ryan at The Metal Detecting Shop. He is top notch.
@@deltafreshrelics1660 Awesome. Thanks so much for the reassurance on my switch!
I do love First Texas products. Have you tried the new 12DD coil on the F75 ?
@@jerrydineen2827 I have not. It’s waaay too expensive for the f75. FT wants 319.00$ for it 🤣
Wow, i did not think the F75 would be smackin it so hard,,now im curious on how it would do with that new coil First Texas came out with a year or so ago. The HunterGT was saying it would go an inch and a half or 2" more with better seperation, and if true the F75 becomes more of a beast is guess. I have heard the Triple Score does well around EMI in residentual hunts.
@@markdoehrman5134 I’ve never used that new FT 12” coil. It seems to be an improvement over the 11x7. The f75 really is a deep deep machine in boost process but it shows its age against the newer stuff.
I live in Estonia. And i got this machin yesterday. Now try anderstend how should i act with it. Your video explains it very clearly! I used mono frequency before. thanks for the training and nice trophies!
@@xymontaaz5007 good luck and thanks for watching!
My Triple score is bang on for coins in all modes, though it does chatter a bit in all M modes, but i just turn down sensitivity a bit and i use auto ground balance and that makes a difference for the better I find. Also, with the single frequency modes, it never chatters, even on full sensitivity.
No complaints on my Triple Score, it Rocks 🤘
Maybe do a little test garden in that same area on a few coins 10" deep, walk over them with youre type of sweeping speed, and do the comparison with F75 and TS. Be interesting.
I’ll take the Triple Score over the Fisher all day long and I’ll take the Minelab Elite over both
********** M2 is very high weighted at 40 KHz. As such, it picks up very tiny bits of metal (especially iron bits) and even picks up slight changes in the ground signal. M2 detects much smaller metal bits than what can be picked up with M1, M3, and the F75's 13 KHz. Those are the things that I think the Triple is detecting in M2. Due to that, a different SMF mode can be used, try reducing the sensitivity somewhat, and possibly use the F discrimination pattern to disc out iron, or use a custom discrimination pattern to disc out a couple of notches more than the G disc pattern. In addition to all that, you might be picking up EMI as well. SMF detectors are far more open to EMI than single frequency detectors like the F75. One other thing...that wasn't a legitimate comparison. A legitimate comparison would mean the Triple should be using the single frequency of 15 KHz to closely match the F75's 13 KHz.
you explained that very well :)
This comment has too much sense, and knowledge. I thought you were going to show off by mentioning that he should slow down his sweep speed to what the manual says.
Nice video 👍👍
I haven’t had any problems with the Triple Score, so I don’t know. I do like my machines on the chatterer side however
Please send it to nokta,, i have the same prob m2 and field are terrible 🤦♂️ i have contacted nokta about this prob,, i hope they will fix it asap 😲
Hello there. This is Dilek from Nokta. Firstly, you are comparing apples to oranges. Fisher is a single frequency machine. You can't compare Multi Frequency to single frequency. The frequencies are different in each multi so it's expected to have different responses. That's why we offer different Multi frequencies for different conditions as well as single frequencies. The M3 seems perfectly fine and M1 not bad. You can also try using a different coil if you have one. Hope this heps.
@@DG-yl9uf Dilek, thank you for the reply. Please understand that I use all the multi settings as needed. I understand their function. Like how I want to use m2 on a lot of my sites that contain thin silver coins and low conductive targets. The only reason I used the f75 in this video is because of its FE graph which easily conveys soil condition. I’m aware of the single and SMF differences. It’s not a performance comparison. Just showing that the soil was relatively non polluted. I have hundreds of hours on your triple score it’s a good detector. The smaller coil does not seem to have this operation in m2. There are deep 10” or more targets in this pasture, my civil war sites, and colonial sites where m2 is preferred. They are just hard to hunt in m2 when you set the triple up to go that deep I.e. lower recovery, higher sens (13), standard coil. Thanks.
Tripple score sucks its a nervous machine
Hi Dilek, it is NOT a secret that some frequencies light up the soil, but what is it that it is lighting up when the soil is MILD???? far enough if the soil was a little mineralised. but it's not, is it ???
Are you trying to swing like paystreak superfreak?you will find a lot more if you slow down...just sayin, i use the double ,triple and legend
I can hit a dime at 12 inches on power level 10 or 11
Is the fisher a multi frequency machine ?
@@diggingnashvegas no. 13khz
Another thing, don't drag it on the ground, it does better above the grass
@@diggingnashvegas the grass is at least 6” long. Longer in most areas.
Gotta cut your power to 11, your over loading the coil, it's a strong machine
Calabash! You out there? Any suggestions?
@@CLEOTISJAMES he’s aware. Talked with him earlier today.
@@deltafreshrelics1660 You stay near Calabash? If he was willing you could send him your machine to test, seems like he's able to get the attention of the manufacturers. I'd send him mine but i live on the other side of the pond.🤟
Hi Delta , i own the double score.Nokta is great 👌It rocks on the beach al time, sens on 8 or 9 works best. On ground i never put sens on the max, also 7 or 8. But i see the issue also in compare how it first was in 1.0. the update to 1.2 is more unstable/sens in m2 and m1 how ever i see one thing: VDi from 2 EURO COIN is in m2 and m1 : 29 , 30 and in m3 : 36 , 37 and in beach: 36 , 37. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THAT IN M1 AND M2 ALSO COMES IN AT 36 , 37 that would be nice. Also a little tone option i mis 😊🏄 compare to the normal score and triple.
