In this first follow up video from my "How to quickly become awesome with the Harrier " video we take a look at how to prefrom a rolling landing on LHA1-Tarawa. The rolling landing is IMO a bit easier and allows for landing with higher payload than the "conventional" VTOL landing.

Very nice insrtuctions for us noobs, easy to follow. I've seen some other videos like this on YT but they are messy, trying to cover too much stuff, but this video is perfect. Also, one tip for any noob is to use the scroll wheel on the mouse to zoom in/out on the map. To move the map, right-click > keep the mouse button pressed (cursor turns into a hand), then drag the mouse to move the map.
thank you this helped me a lot 👍
HOW did you get your chaff and flares to work???
Why no new videos? I hope you are OK? Let us know. Some people are worried!
Thank you so much for you comment!. Simple answer I had kids so no time to make videos. xD Maybe in a few years when they get older.
@@creativefun3620 That's great news! Congratulations! :)

Absolutely loves all your videos off viggen!
All these years later and setting up a SAM is still absurd. How on Earth would anyone new to DCS could know it takes all these different units?
My docking ports wont line up like that, they just merge into eachother, any help?
Great video! May I ask what slider you use for the nozzle rotation? The dial of the twcs or slider the joystick? Also in nav mode are the nozzles locked? So you cant rotate them? Since its not showing in the HUD anymore
Wouldnt it be more effective to bomb the middle/center of the runway. Great videos you got!
Unrelated question but is your mission editor a different colour scheme to the default…?
I have a and A6 processor will it support dcs 2.5?😶
Why didn't the second SA-8 fire?
Excellent tutorial!! I've been landing the Viggen like a pro now. I've done it a bunch of times back-to-back to make sure its not a fluke. Thank you!!!
, 👍

Are you from Scandinavia Sir?
Yeah, it took me about five minutes in the AJS37 to figure that out. And it's surprisingly good to boot
The current RB 15s have quite the range. The ones used on the AJS had something like 70-80km. :)
It was actually used by the SAAB 105s too..
Little bit older but useful video! Thx!
Why no new vids? i wanna watch more of the viggen
how to follow waypoints from mission editor?
Jetta fin! Tack så mycket min kompis!
Awesome video. Good job.

Thanks for sharing, without your kind work some of would really struggle with DCS world.
Thank you for making this, even 4 years later now in 2021 I am starting the game and this is useful. Unbelievably, I haven’t seen many, if at all, scientific - like video approaches to this topic like yours on UA-cam. I’d love a 2.5.6 update if you can.. thank you sir!
I am aware this video was posted a while ago, but I have just acquired the Mirage & believe I have figured out the way to operate the Altitude Select. Not sure if this is how the real thing works but it behaves similar to other civilian aircrafts I've flown in Xplane and co. You will want to : #1 - Select your desired altitude #2 - Enable the autopilot and Altitude hold (will show as amber/yellow) #3 - Apply trim accordingly to the desired rate of climb/descent to your desired altitude #4 - Within 1000ft of the set altitude, the Altitude select button will change to 'green' & the aircraft will automatically stabilise with neutral trim once it reaches the correct altitude
The Maverick A seeker is so bad that you should be lucky to get a lock at about 800-1200 meters range. The B didn't do much better but for about 1.4-2 km. The D turned great with IR seeker so you can get about 2-3 km launch ranges. The DCS lock ranges are unrealistically very long ones. We would need latest H or K variants to get past 3-4 km lock ranges on tank size target. Mavericks are not standoff weapons, but precision guided weapons. They are like a iron bombs in CCIP mode but with just precision capability with 50-80% hit rate instead 10% that iron bombs does have.
If you become disoriented in the clouds, you are simply missing the necessary skills for IFR flying. ;) However it´s not only preferable to only dive into the clouds when established on localizer and glideslope, it´s an absolute MUST! The ILS system not only gives you landing information, it also ensures there are no obstacles in your way down. Just diving into the clouds somewhere near the airport without beeing on airways, or VOR / TACAN radials / sectors with published minimum safe altitudes can easily end up you crashing into the next mountain 100 feet below the top of the coulds. In that case it´s also completely useless if you know where to look for your attitute, altitude and speed on the HUD, but you have no idea how low to descent without hitting the terrain. That´s not instrument flying, that´s called VRF into IMC and is one of the top killers in aviation. BTW: The approach was unstable. You lost too much speed, almost stalling the aircraft on short final and descending below the glideslope, overcorreted it by accelerating too much, leading to a landing way way behind the touchdown point without beeing able to see the end of the runway. So there was a good chance to overshoot the runway and to die at the next tree or antenna. This should have been a clear go around. ;) But to be fair: I can´t do it much better. :D
How we put all the language at english there is some words that are on english but the other is on russians i need a littel help plz?

I have the patch you used in the thumbnail. It belongs to Turkish Air Force 132nd Weapons & Tactics Squadron. Very cool.

man the graphics back then were bad lol
Excellent tutorials. Well explained and concise. Like someone else said three years ago, it’s difficult to see exactly what you are pointing to if not illuminated or zoomed in. I trust you have taken those pointers. I watch many tutorials from many sources, yours I have to say are the most comprehensive., at least for the mirage, which is all I’ve wanted to learn so far. KUDOS
yea... stop the spread of misinformation ;)
Tutorials very helpful - thank you. Can you tell me the keyboard binding for APP? Have looked in detail and can't find it, so have to use the clickable cockpit selection. Kind regards, Flamethrower
@TSTH Seth Ta Muchly!
I’m currently going through the opposite XP to DCS I think when it’s all said and done XPlane for the interface and dcs for the sound model the rest seemed pretty much the same not including combat obviously
Hi creative fun by the way awesome videos. I planned on getting into the flight sim but, I dont know nothing about flying. and I was watching your videos DCS and xplane 11 looks really nice how should I go about this ? It looks to me If everyone Is trying to get a pilot licence or they already have one. would this be a good move to make? I Already have a pc that can handle It.
this is useleass , no info which button to hit
Why did you not bring the ECM insted one of the countermeseurs?
where can i download this carrier?
