Great video, looks like an amazing state to visit! So much dang biodiversity 🤌🏼
Was excited to see u put out a film from this trip!
Awesome video Jodhan! We should do a video together soon. Maybe we could do a yard bird video! I haven't been seeing too many new birds in my front yard but I bet there is some awesome stuff outback.
NICE! gotta love Urban wildlife!

lol Andrew’s shirt is sick
Nice kings. Opposite to you, I'm a lifelong birder who got into herps pretty recently (a couple/three years, maybe). I lived in Arcadia back in 2010; I wish I'd been a herper at the time; it really svcks! Maybe one day I'll get back west. Looking forward to your next adventure ...
Thanks so much! What’s your favorite… birding and herping?
Got me wanting to head to Cali. Ton of rain there this year it looked like. Nice finds.
Thank you! Yeah it’s been a crazy wet winter… and somehow it routinely would stay sunny during the week and then rain both days on the weekend
Any chance you could post a link to your eBird trip report, as well as a list of the places you stayed (at least the ones you’d recommend)?
Just added the trip report. I did it for part one but totally forgot to put it in the part 2! Some of the places we stayed were very random air bnb's, but I can try to track those down and put together a doc at some point
This was a blast to watch. Congrats, lads, on all the great birds you got.
Nice work! So many beautiful birds.
Does flipping work as much in New Mexico?
I can't speak from experience as I've not done any herping in NM but I don't see why it would be less effective. The idea is that snakes like to hide under cover. Naturally that would be rocks, logs, dense shrubs, etc. If you place boards or other objects in good snake habitat, they will come to use those objects as cover from predators and to help in thermoregulation. The key is placing the boards in a good area. Nice grassy areas are usually a safe bet but the boards will likely take a while to become attractive to snakes because you want the grass under the board to die leaving just soil. Abandoned trash works in the same way, and often snakes can be found in trash piles that have sat around for years.
NM is similar to CO when it comes to flipping, imo. Spring.
What a vid ❤🔥
Some of the best herping I've experienced to date!
Awesome video
Thank you!!
Great video. I was there March 4th to 16th. I think we did much of the same but did more spots and saw more birds.
Awesome!
You should call your channel LIFERS
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Birded some of those areas in 1992! You did way better with the endemics.
Nice! Which ones did ya miss?
Crazy how Chestnut-capped Brush finch is also in Andean cloud forest.
Seriously
Euphonias are AMAZINGGGA! Whats the association with dwarf jay and the wren?
I'm not totally sure why they have such strong association. Probably just similar habits/preferences plus the usual reasons species hang out in mixed flocks
Salamanders are the best!
Oh my gosh this vlog is amazing!!I’ve never watched a birding vlog before. I love how you include facts about the birds and the clips inside the car were fun. If you guys make it up to Portland I’d love to go birding with y’all!
I would love to see you guys go to the Anza Borrego area!
We had an insane trip down there last year which would have been cool to record. I want to go back so I wouldn't be surprised to see us there for more birding and SNAKES!!
@@russellcampbell4727 a friend is there now and sent a cute pic of a shovel nosed snake he saw slithering around.
Nice selection of desert specials. Loved the Le Contest!
Russell’s the highlight
❤the highlight was us pulling up to the Taco Bell drive-thru for the first 6.57 seconds of the video
I traveled over an hour and didn't see it :(
Dang, sorry to hear that. Hopefully you're successful on your next chase!
Let’s goooo
