I am fully electric and I love it. I am from Colorado. And have drove thru two winters no problem. I hope as tech improves it will be better. Especially for the charging companies, I'm not a fan of "Electrify America" Company. I can't wait for more road trips as I have19,000miles of leaf road trips and even to the store and back not far at all. Have fun!!

Legendarische televisie in de gouden jaren 70, voor kinderen dan waaronder ik toen. Dit zijn ze niet meer toe in staat. Vanaf een bepaald seizoen ergens droeg hij opeens een rood pak, dat viel me op toen en vond ik een beetje raar en misschien wel een beetje jammer. Bijzondere en leuke man de onvergetelijke Martin Brozius. Jammer dat het daarna niet helemaal lekker met hem ging en ook niet oud geworden. RIP.

For REAL winter weather the best ! solution is webasto type saloon heater(uses diesel fuel) which can be used and installed also for heating battery pack with some clever mods . Lithium batterys suck in below zero temperatures. Also charge them to 80% if you want them to last for a long time. 100% charge will kill them faster. With some mods like these LEAF is ok in wintertime.

There is no spare wheel on Nissan Leaf so if you get a bad flat you have to call a tow truck.

The seat heater is giving me a backache for it gives a contrast with the rest of the body.

In winter the inside heater is not very good below 0.

Battery range will obviously get better in cars as time goes by, technology is always changing.

Sounds like a nightmare-- foggy Windows, no heating...no music either--effects range..not worth it, plus they are 50k in Australia, yet are equivalent to a 15k car...

As much as the Leaf is a beautifully made car from top notch materials; its high priced battery rental, low range and impracticality render it pretty pointless. Plus, it is expensive to buy new and it is no longer free to charge up a car in car parks anymore. Shame.

Since this video is published a lot of quick charge locations at the side of the highway are added in the Netherlands. That should help a lot in wintertime having more opportunity to do a quick charge. (It is more expensive to quick charge, but gasoline cars also easily use 15 to 20% extra fuel in the winter). What is your experience on the current situation?

I am amazed that with the advances outside the USA that we actually reserve (and enforce) Electric Vehicle only parking at charging stations. The infrastructure in the USA has also improved dramatically. My original Leaf only have about 3 places I could use in the 3 years I had it, but my 2015 has a GREAT improvement of station availability. I've used 5 different quick chargers since picking the Leaf up in April of 2015. Been as far as 75 miles from home with stop for a quick charge along the way and arrived home with power to spare. The improved charging speed is also a MAJOR factor. I'm so over range anxiety.

We have inter--planetary probes in Mars, Jupiter and even Pluto, but we don't achieve technology to 500 kms (400 miles) batteries. I know the probe fuel is different, but isn't that weird ?

Are you cold in there? Are you able to run any heat from the batteries? I assume no, as you are trying to maximize range. They should put a small LNG tank and heater in there. This lady is smart and articulate. I wish more females would take an interest in the mechanical/electrical world around them. With the range at 50% in winter, many can park it in a garage and start out with warm batteries. Does it have a battery heater when it is plugged in?

This is the exact reason I bought a Volt. what happens if you get home from the office after depleting the battery and need to run back out for something right away?

Wonder if there's any suitable portable kerosene heaters or similar. If thought from start they could have build one in (most safe rather than a loose one) - that would also eliminate issues of air and moisture from burning - I admit burning it inside cabin is not ideal nor super healthy. Even 5 liters of kerosene would be enough for many many hours of great heat - presto no heating issues in winter ;) I can just see how much heat even a kerosene lamp lamp can produce. My biggest one gives 20w of light but 700w of heat and lasts >10 hours on 1 liter of kerosene (or really lamp oil which is a fancy word for very pure kerosene so no smell etc.)

So, the infrastructure don't need to be built by the government. Any citizen or group of citizens should be allowed to install a recharger post outside his house and sell electriciti to the EV users, so that each and every parking space could have a recharger post. The governemt only need to stimulate the conversion from explosion to hybrids or EV.

Actually EV's could be the best alternative with the best range. Think about this: on every city in the world, outside every building or house there can be a recharger post connected to that house or bulding so that any EV user can park there put some coins and recharge his EV, the owner of the charger post would be who benefit from the money paid by the EV user.

what a lot of rubbish! why not get a gas car and SHUT-UP? or is it because you will be crying of the price of gas!
