Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (NDS) Jonathan and Charlotte Playthrough Part 1

We now begin an episodic playthrough of Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin on the Nintendo DS as Johnathan Morris and Charlotte Aulin. This is the sequel to Castlevania: Bloodlines where you must fight and traverse through the castle as both Johnathan and Charlotte but they both share the same Lifebar and MP Gauge. Both characters have their own weapons, armor and sub-weapons and they can perform a Dual Crash which uses both characters to perform super attacks similar to Item Crashes.
Three years ago, I featured a Castlevania: Bloodlines playthrough. But now, I'm finally featuring this game. Let's go!

    In a 5th year of World War 2, millions have been lost & summoned that accursed castle of legend. Hmm... where do Jonathan & Charlotte family get to tell young Julius Belmont of their side. So... they met a priest Vincent who was gonna set up shop at the entrance. Jonathan can't used that whip as it is a Belmont item. Though he was gonna have to use other magical items like Alucard's but that'd be for now. Then they met a ghost who used a barrier to let them have items & techs. And he is called Wind. Oh going into accursed paintings does have some unexpected monsters & after dullahan got smashed, the 1st sister is Loretta & to be fair he was feeling the whip. Death was awaiting for Dracula to go & smack him, but it'd be for a long while... And oh, for context, Brauner who got the twins (Loretta & Stella) lost his actual family during World War 1 & he went mad with grief. But enough of that bit for now. Oh & Jonathan got hypnotized by Astarte & young Julius when he heard that story... flinched up... can't blame a young Belmont for that, the ladies do be trying the Belmont magic. Ahem, Behemoth, Keremet got fought. Note: Touching objects though a young Belmont don't need it, but refreshing. Some monsters do got smashed with physical or magical attacks, getting a abnormal status- wait...that was some instruction advices when both are young. But yeah completing them quests can get lots of techs.

    Wow has it been 3 months? Okay, guess the director's cut edition was already decided regarding the alternate final fight with revived Necron: minor spoilers, it was Reimu that does the solo fight. So...as for the almost title change moment from Crystal Tendency to Crystalized by Fate with Batsu & Kyosuke being the major characters to help Reimu & Dagger solve the mystery, but that didn't happen. FOR 3 Specific reasons. 1. Joseph as in old Joseph would've been so mad not having Caesar being honored like disrespecting the Zeppeli family in the movie. Though in Lisa Lisa's case is more of Joseph about to throw a tantrum either Suzi or Holly need to see this. Stepdad ultimately chose not to change the title to honor the Zeppeli family. 2. People said no to Crystal Tendency? Yes, there are a few of em despite some folks making guest cameos: Heart Aino, Sheena (Contra Hard Corps) declined the offer, they didn't feel like their roles fit them well. For Heart Aino? She didn't wanted to be late for school & overshadow most of em. For Sheena? The pay isn't worth being in a minor cameo role. Well being a merc without aliens to fight is tuff. Movie company tried to get Mitsuragi & Hanzo into the roles which would be later be fulfilled by few certain members of Illusionary Returners. But they'd prefer being in the shadows to help the cast & staff keep the cams rolling. 3. "THE STAGEPLAY DOUBLE FEATURE?! you say?" They was already noticing the success story of Resurrection Mad play compared to the original Return of Madness/Resurrection of Mad light novel and wanted Crystal Tendency play to be part of a double play feature. With the works of Memoria Records on a ongoing process. Yeah! That is nuts. Some of the archivists wanted to keep on going. Now for the 4th reason? The upcoming Crystal Tendency musical & Kagome Higurashi wanted Inuyasha & his half bro Sesshomaru to have a script changed where a certain cursed pearl user gained Necro powers & they'd be going a 100 percent completion to have the best musical showdown. Yeah they're not kidding. The musical cast got Urara Kasugano as Mage, Rei Hino a Miko/Sage & archer, Inuyasha the Demon Slayer, Minako Aino as...Summoner?- Oh Usagi Tsukino is the Summoner (Rei calls her a crybaby rabbit) & Minako's a Warrior. Colette (Tales of Symphonia) got a surprisingly skilled whoopsies snatch the items & she a good singer too as Lloyd & Tsubasa (Symphogear) noted. Sesshomaru because he a samurai lord with 2 daughters from Rin. Konoha Koinumaru (Arcana Heart) or Chiho Masuda from Variable Geo as she's more trained than Konoha & Asuka 120 gals are wanting to do cameos/minor roles. (sorry gals from shinobi academies). Ami Mizuno is a Chemist & Analyst. Inuyasha said he don't wanna find them pearl shards by himself again & dealing with certain roasters so he taking up Kyosuke from Aoharu City cuz he saw him beating the snot outta bullies harassing puppies. srsly as Inuyasha said, he just came with Kagome to see her old family again & he can't help being a wild doggo. Oh & Ranma wanted to see Inuyasha struggle again! The queen said and quote! Dagger: Yup and even as a queen that's why I had to let him do his duty. He likes doing adventures his own way.

    Either the titles went like this: When Reimu fought the original Necron (PS1 era), but realized she just put him to sleep. OR in the alternate Crystal Tendency where EVERY SINGLE ONE is asleep. Reimu had to do it alone against the revived Necron.
