DJI FLIP - First Flight
Переглядів 58521 день тому
Well I did it, couldn't resist. I got the new DJI Flip and took it for a spin down at South Shields. I didn't have a spare SD card and in the end, I lost the footage... managed to get some back from the in flight cache but the quality isn't tip top... user error! 🫠 I've also got a DJI Mic Mini... let me know your thoughts Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!): uppbeat.io/t/prigida/moonshine ...

Another great trip to the lakes, cooking in the trangia, dipping in the tallest free fall waterfall in the lakes, and bagging another bunch of wainwrights... I felt the pain on this one... don't know if I mentioned how heavy my bag was 😅 Don't mention the dumplings. Wild camp on the Old Man Of Coniston - My first video!
Great video.... 👏👍
Thanks Aras, can't beat the outdoors!
Great vid, buddy. Your point about how our perspective on what's fun changes with age is well taken. Sooner or later we all start to lose our marbles and think putting ourselves through it is fun! 🤣
Cheers mate, the wife thinks I'm crazy but it's like a drug!! Especially those cold water dips 🥶 😅 Hope you're keeping well 💪
`Peninsula` why aye you`re some kind of Dr Johnson. Perfect camping spot with the ethos of nearly having it all to yourself just the way we like it. I see you can`t touch meat until its cooked as well as Monty. Nice enjoyable watch, you are slowly turning into Mr Blot with all that dreamy sleepy snoozy nighty night medicine😆
Ha, I know, I'm a true wordsmith 🤣... yeah, nice little spot. I might have to head to bonnie Scotland to get true solitude, but it wernt too bad once I got past easdale. I'm just trying to have some form of food hygiene (wipes knife on pants 😅) Those tinnies certainly helped me be blissfully unaware of the wind noise in the night!!
Another great adventure Michael! I’ve camped at Easedale Tarn over a dozen times but never at Codale Tarn, although I walked up there for video I did a while ago. Do you rate the flip? New DJI Mic system too?
Cheers Eddie, it's a lovely place... Grasmere is a lovely little village too. I'm enjoying the Flip in fairness. Lots of noise online but it's the right tool for me
You are subscribed, dear friend 160. Let's stay connected and enjoy the videos. 👍🔔🙏
Thanks, I'll keep an eye on yours too, looks like some great bushcraft skills on show 💪🏕
It was great, dear friend. 👍👌
South Tyneside College 2006-2009
Sounds good to me! I do quite a bit around this area , with my drone, love it around suter lighthouse too! keep them coming....
Cheers buddy, it's good to get out ... the seaguls worry me a times mind ... they seem interested 🤔😄
Nice informative vlog. Audio is spot on. That flip looks like a nice piece of kit also. Some cracking Ariel footage of the stunning North East coast. Should do well in the mountains 👍
Thanks for the feedback... we certainly do have a cracking coast, seen you trip round near masden, great stuff 👍
Great video pal. Cold just watching it
Thanks for watching... it isn't too bad when your moving... but so many hours to kill in the winter! Subbed to yours mate 👍
Brillient video, must try that island, from the north east so not far away, could you launch a boat with outboard?
Cheers bud... yeah get yourself over to it, there is something about being on an island! 🏝... we launched from the tour boat area but you can launch from the shore / beach area... I did see a video by 'mastiff man outdoors' and he had an outboard Enjoy your trip!
Buen campamento 👍
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it 💪
Fantastic video, great scenery in the snow and the drone footage adds an extra edge to the video, I love it when you finally get the tent up (shelter and security) and you get the whole place to yourself. thanks for making the effort to edit and share, chin chin, PS seems to be plenty of Mackems out on the fells and youtube.😁
Cheers Dave, I like to work a little for my rest, makes it all that more enjoyable. Yeah there does seem to be a few kicking around... nature's therapy for the stress of following Sunderland 😅
Another class video my mate! Envious of the drone too! V tempted..
Cheers buddy, I crashed my old one a few camps back, couldn't last too long without one.... go one, treat yourself 😉😅
Great video and adventure Michael! Excellent drone shots too 👊🏻 Which chest pouch system were you using? You’ve whetted my appetite! Thanks for the shout out and let’s organise a wild camp 👍🏻
Cheers mate, it was an honour to take control of the wee Neo. It's an Osprey, but I'm not sure if it's still for sale. Ideal for the drone, a map, and some snacks. You're on… I don't have any more playing-out tokens this month (wife would kill me!), but we will sort a date. 💪🏕
@ excellent! 👌
Cracking camp that mate. I watch all your videos on the tv and have to say this one was great. Good spot with nice conditions 👌🏽 I have the same montane jacket which are really warm and comfortable. You’re a local lad to me and might see you out some time. Look forward to your wild camping this year. Atb mark.
Ah glad you enjoyed it pal. I'm sure I watched you angle tarn one the other day! Yeah, I think I'll maybe go for a mini 4 at some point. I couldn't justify 800quid though 😅 Yeah could maybe catch a camp up round the cheviots at some point 💪 All the best for the new year 🙌
Where did you park and then hike into the bothy?
We parked in an farm asked the owner and he said it was fine.... maps.app.goo.gl/eCWHkMk7ZGfbVTUq5 But I think this location may be better.... near Whitrope station maps.app.goo.gl/oguZwMYoNNWVRKbb7 Hope you enjoy it 👍
@MountainsAndMore thanks for the quick response. Was thinking of the station bu wasn't sure as it looks like there are gates that can be closed. Will hopefully be able to use there though. Thanks for the reply and the great video.
What a great day out. Never tire of sitting looking at those views.
Thanks dawn, it was a fantastic day. I will be back to the Hen Hole this year for sure. Off to the lakes this weekend to battle with the snow... if I survive, I'll be adding a new video 😅
Stake?
Ha wow, how have I done that, thanks for pointing it out 🫠😅
Sorry, but I don't mean to be funny, but if your staying in a bothy, what on earth are you carrying in those massive packs. It looks like your going on a two months tour of the Himalayas.
Ha tell me about it... so the essentials really, sleeping bags (extra for the dog), food (extra for the dog), plenty of booooooze, water, pots (billy can), bit of warm gear, logs for the fire and so on. It's only a short walk up to that bothy so happy to load up like a donkey 🫏 😄
That's a lovely feast lads. Only thing I saw that's not so good was the lack of salt and pepper on that huge piece of meat! Regardless, enjoy, looked bloody good, all the best from Glasgow.
Cheers ... its funny as I hunted my bag for the salt and pepper.... but I had left it at home 😐. The butter helped, but your right it was good 👍
Hellooooooo
Well done lads. Looks like you started near to Lantern Pike, walking below on the bridleway. Then Burnt Hill to Mill Hill. The plane wreckage is below. There is also a small monument at the side of the path remembering a fallen mountain rescue member, you might miss this if drawn into the wreckage site. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mill_Hill_(Derbyshire) You got lucky with the weather, if not the midges. Walking the moors without a map/compass or equivalent electronic equipment is a risky thing to do.
Thanks Paul, it was a really interesting trip, and forced us to explore as opposed to follow. It was my first time in the peaks, really enjoyed it so need to head back at some point I agree it is risky, and I certainly wouldnt advocate it without plenty of experience on the hills, and we were never too far from civilisation 👍
Yess buddy a man not afraid to take hes kitchen up here love it shame about the dumpsters like lol class round to do and the waterfall is a brilliant place to visit at the start one of my favourite parts of the lakes and agree no shame in a good rest with the heavy bag not at all doing the fells class buddy that bothy ive never getting in it yet alaways been full up at the in good vlog keep em coming .....BUTCHY
Ha cheers bud... safe to say I won't be in the waterfalls until they warm up a little! Think I will be giving another bothy a go at some point over the Christmas Glad you enjoyed it 💪 🏔
@MountainsAndMore lol yeah 2025 for my return of the lakes too hahaha few wildcamps planned local tho for Xmas enjoy as always buddy
Lovely scenery! Sorry about the drone
Thanks! Hopefully I'm on the nice list so I can get a new one! I'm more impatient than the kids 😅
New sub here, I don`t blame you for not trying to retrieve the drone, mine is on the scree side of Helm crag which is just as treacherous, I did priest hole last year when I was a very amateur video creator, chin chin
Ah, thanks for the sub Dave, I'll have a wee browse of some of your stuff 😀 👍 I'm toying with getting a DJI NEO drone ... but not sure if it will be much cop. Santa might get me a nice shine new one 😅 Keep exploring 💪⛰️
Really enjoyed this mate! We had a similar thing happen with our drone recently an absolute nightmare haha. New sub from us, hope you can check us out if you get the chance. Looking forward to your next.
Cheers! Glad you enjoyed it. Honest it just made me laugh when it crashed... at least my pack will be a little lighter next time 😅 Thanks for the Sub, I'll check yours out bud 👍
Excellent!
Glad you liked it!
Loving the tarp tent mate! I did a video camping in one n’all a bit ago and been to the linhope waterfall too, thought I was going to die.. jumped in and felt it suck me down 😅
Aye just watched it, looked very good. I want to jump from the top but not when I'm on my own, asking for trouble! Keep exploring bud 👍
@ yea seen a lad do that but I ain’t jumping from the top either! 😮💨 you too man! Look forward to seeing it 👊
Class channel mate! Subbed. I’m going to have to get myself to that waterfall, that’s class! You on Instagram mate? Rate the knife n’all mate 👌
Cheers bud... buttermere is well worth a visit if you have not been... that waterfall is mega, I didn't get too much footage as the old Johnson didn't want me in there too long 😅. Get yourself a knife built mate, I need a sheath for mine now
@ not been around that area yet but it’s going to have to be done soon I reckon after watching that 👌 I’ve got myself a knife but that is a chunky but funky looking thing 😎🤣
good job mate, taking my future little ones on trips like this is the dream
Thanks! The kids love it... got to get it in before the teenage years 🤣. All the best 👍
Cracking video mate, great to see you involving the kids. Just subscribed from a fellow UA-camr 😉👍
Thanks Phil, she really enjoyed it. Back to basics ... can't beat it! I'll have a wee view of some of yours 💪👍
Cheers mate, appreciate that. Keep em coming 👍
Love watching these vlogs - your auld Da gets knackered going to a gig never mind going up mountains! Keep it going!
Loved the video mate proper wholesome. 👌
Cheers bud... its something a bit different, hopefully nice memories for the young ones
Nice vlog bud. I passed you on the Sunday. I was heading up to the bothy as you were heading back to the village on the lakeside path. Pleased to see you reached the 100 sub mark. I am subscriber 101. I admire your enthusiasm. Posterity is a great reason to continue with the video adventures. I do it for the very same reason. Keep up the good work 👍
Ah small world... thanks for watching and the sub. It was a lovely morning. That walk around to buttermere is great, definitely one to bring the wife and kids along to. I'll check you channel out 👍⛰️
It's great to see you and Ollie back at it, buddy 👍 I literally laughed out loud when you were getting in for a dip!
It's fair to say it was cold 🥶... but I keep going back for more 💪
Hi, I'm Moley's wife. Great video 😁 Well done for achieving such an epic feat!
Ah hello!! Hope his legs wernt too bad after all those hills!!!... Sunday was a little tender for me 😀 Good luck with all your future adventures 👍
Отлично снчто желаю успехов😊
Absolutely brilliant! But that bit going down through the midges next to the barbed wire... Gave me terrible flashbacks 😭 Then I saw how much Ollie was pulling you down! Terrifying! 😫 It was an absolute honour to complete such an epic mission with you 👊
What a mission, not surenthe footage does it full justice... just a snippet of what we went through. From almost pulling the plug at the forest of doom, to smashing through to the finish. Had a cracking time 👏👍
Good video, very enjoyable. Drone shots were great. New sub mate keep keeping on!! 👍👍💪💪💯
Cheers buddy, I'm enjoying mashing them together, getting out there, and seeing what the world has to offer 😀
Class drone shots, looks mint there, love a camping curry to, nice one👍👍
Cheers bud, glad you enjoyed it. I love getting the drone up, but its hard to get the balance of how much to mix in.... im on the osmo action 4, too. Just subbed on your chennel bud👍
@MountainsAndMore how u finding the action 4, ive just had it about a month, its made a big difference for me, love it, well easy to use was using my phone before that, ive got the dji mini 3, but not that good at getting shots yet🤣, ive been relaying on the quickshots, i love drone footage mate, proper get to see the whole area, its mint
@WildBorkysadventures yeah its canny, easy to use. I have a gopro 7 before that and the audio was pants Need gentle hands on the drone mate 😅 ... can look like shite CCTV footage otherwise 🤣. Keep getting out there 💪
Отличный контент😊🎉
Thanks.... appreciate the comment 👏👍
Haha sure youll find some m8
You should do some stealth camps aswell mate a think most subscribers like stealth camps the best your wild camps are good so ad love to see u do stealth camps
Cheers @grayza2988, I have thought about this and will defo get one in soon. Being up north I would have to avoid places @blotoutdoorshow has been to... cant be many places left now! 😅
Another quality video pal
Cheers Chris... I've always enjoyed the camping, but now I'm enjoying jamming these together 📺⛰️
I found a nice river today was tempted to get in
Cold water swimming is great but just go steady... careful in rivers with tides etc...💪
Awesome camp, Mick! That little swimming spot was fantastic. I'm properly jealous 🫡
Cheers Molley mate... was a real treat of a camp... do I jump from the top next time? 🤔 😅
Those drone shots are epic! 🤯
Cheers... its a great little toy.. love my digital pigeon 🐦⬛🤖
I'm very jealous of the cold water swim! I was really hoping to do a bit of that this weekend 😢
Plenty more opportunities bud... I can't resist a dip in the cold water like. Must be mad 😅
Thanks for the shoutout, Mick! I'm absolutely gutted I couldn't make it out with you this weekend. I'm on the mend as I watch this but there's no way I'd have the stamina for a mission even now 😭 I'm glad you got out for this adventure, the scenery is outstanding! I will definitely get back up north next month, we can tackle the wonky line mission then!
Good to hear your on the mend... yeah let's see if we can sort one out next month if your up this way 👍
