I do not remember seeing an open stance one hander. If you step into the ball from neutral you lose the hip turn or most of it. Will try the open stance against the wall hitting.

This is easy, keep it little longer on the side, include more side body leaning motion (vs only shoulder rotation) + don't keep your pelvis behind, move it forward for better half moon shape.

Why are they getting paid? I live near UVa which has won multiple NCAA titles in the past several years. They generate NO money.. The matches are free to spectators. There is rarely a crowd to watch even this high level college program... It is sort of a vanity sport for the University, not a revenue generator. Are they getting paid out of the football or basketball NIL money? Those sports make money.

more than agree that - especially in the US - the coaches are too obsessed with the technique. Not to mention they are often not even on the biomechanical level right. Mostly based on “I watched hundreds of top pros slow motion videos” argument. But then they make video analysis comparison student vs. Federer using videos taken from different angle than the template… But then look for example on the Czech girls (30x smaller country) and their results. I can assure You they don’t spin around technique but: playing patterns and compete (mental approach)…

I have a dumb question: Is it a good idea to teach kids to overrun the backhand this early? My point is that when they are this young, shouldn't we be focusing on developing that backhand to be a weapon? PS: I am by no means a tennis expert.
