New 4 track EP from Isaac bjorn
“At The Place’ is the follow up on ‘At The Time’ another 4 tracks recorded during the months of June - August 2024. Ideas picked on the road during my summer holiday in Europe, like with most of my music everything is a novel experience..a place, a smell, a memory, an experience, I then encapsulate all that into a few recordings, get stuck in the studio, turn on the machines and start to record a few takes in the hope to make something nice, a few hours later that idea then transmutes into something..this time into 4 pieces of music. I have released these 4 tracks on my record label, planetbjorn, so I can make them available to people, artists, fans, anyone really who enjoy good music made live (The Musician’s Way).
Please fell free to check them out on the streaming platforms as well on the specialised dj stores such as Beatport. All tracks are recorded live but dj friendly for those who wish to play them on a dance floor, or simply listen on headphones. I love it. This is totally what I spin as well in my home studio from time to time. I really need new turntables. My Roland equipment supports DVS, so I won't have to buy a new mixer. But it can function as a standalone mixer as well. I was looking into some Audio Technica's, mainly the PLX120's. Or the Reloop RP4000's (I really don't need much cq. expensive ones).

Your explanation and your thoughts on music production with real/physical instruments are very good! I like how you think about it! I also produce music mainly by preparing some sequences and then performing live a track. I record it to a digital recorder and that’s it. I only add some EQ and compression in post. However I still haven’t found “my” sound or character. Still exploring synths and instruments. Where I can listen to your produced tracks?
