Never Write Alone: How to Create a United Writing Community
Panelists: Jacinta Howard, Deesha Philyaw, Kelly Quindlen, Adam Sass
There’s a reason you’ve heard the oft-uttered African proverb -- "It takes a village to raise a child" before. Because when the kid gets the benefit of the larger community, he or she is all the better for it, and the parents also get some help along the way.
The same advice applies for raising a novel from infancy to publication. When writing for a specific community, your go of it will be easier and your book will be better if you lean on others in your community rather than trying to take it solo. Our panelists will share with us how they’ve relied upon their specific communities for support and valued insight, benefited from it, and then returned the favor in kind as active participants trying to pay it forward for the good of their entire village.

This person charged me for work not done. She owes me thousands of dollars. She said she’d like to work with me, I paid her, and she failed to show up for any meetings, assign work, or show up for our meetings. Beware of Katharine Sands, please.
I'm looking forward to this!
I am so thankful to these two!! Dawn, very important work honoring William Gay.
