Great work
WHAT CAUSES THE PITNMAN ARMS PINS TO BREAK? TAHNKS!
Thanks for this High quality content, i woud've purchased the full training but the place i work in we never have SRPs only ESP.
Dont just stand there tighten up the packing!!
With the weights and counter balance can you also slide the weights forward to compensate
I get that rotaflex units wanna last longer but the pumpjacks are cooler
Very well done!!! Awesome.
I'm in my first year as a pumper, and this is very good information. I'll be watching all your videos.
eeeew
It's just the flair in the background
Damn that’s some emulsion looks like mayonise
Carrier bar needs some tlc. Polish rod above it is crooked, higher chance of parting the polish rod at the pinch point.
Thank you!
Not ideal...
Amazing lecture! I have one question which software you were using in identifying light taggs section ?
Echometer's TAM (Total Asset Management) software. It is free to download (and explore example files); you can find it on their website. They have the best diagnostic software and tools when it comes to diagnosing oil wells.
Aula incrível! Obrigada por compartilhar conhecimento.
Perfect loop
I see these alot when i go camping with my aunt in Duchesne utah
Здравствуйте! Спасибо за видео и за то, что вы делитесь своим опытом и знанием)
спасибо и здоровья!
frig.....i need to get back into the patch.
Can we increase the size(OD)of water flow line in order to reduce the leakage ?
Are all polished rods hollow inside?
Actually no polished rods are hollow: they are all solid steel. Some polished rods have a smooth polished surface and other polished rods are a rough surface, which requires the use of a Polished Rod Liner that is clamped onto the polished rod and provides the pressure seal with the stuffing box packing. A company might use one of these as the cheaper PR Liner can be replaced if damaged without replacing the full PR (also it is easier to put a clamp on the PR to stack the rods out on the wellhead without damaging the smooth polished finish). This video shows a pin hole in the liner.
Thanks for posting the freebies not really in my budget to afford the course so these free ones are great
The course is extremely underpriced when you look at the value delivered. I can supercharge your knowledge and career, and save your company hundred's of thousands by making better decisions...
Excellent videos. I recently purchased the course on your website. I wanted to ask you if it's not too much trouble and if it's possible for you to upload the videos to a private list so I can get the subtitles provided by UA-cam. Thank you so much
Let me think. I will email you a response
I have recently acquired a gas well & have this problem. I need to change the polished rod. I am very mechanical, but really don’t know much about how to do this. Does the polished rod act as a cover on the sucker rod to seal oil etc. from leaking, or is it just attached to the sucker rod on both ends?
The Polished Rod is a solid thick rod at top. There are two types: one that does not have a smooth spray metal finish and others that do. If it does not have that finish, it will have a PR Liner attached on top of it that holds the pressure seal with the Stuffing Box. The PR Liner only needs to be the length of the stroke length plus an additional foot or so. So you might have a 24' Polished Rod but only a 10' PR Liner.
Excellent work! Great class
Excelente, muy buen trabajo, gran estudio y mucho conocimiento!!!!!!!!. saludos cordiales desde Colombia
WOW 😳😳!!! Thanks for doing this Video, I totally love it!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊
i'd bet money on this pump being in Texas or Oklahoma.
s Should have shown the cement job thru formation and contiguous to casing shoe for those who are not familiar. Especially to understand fracing.
Cement is not always brought to surface though: it depends on the operator and the location of where the wells is drilled and the downhole conditions. The Surface Casing protects the fresh water, and if the Production Casing ever parts during a frac job: it is well obvious (drop in pressure and flows out to surface). I don't think many people opposed to fracking are likely taking this course :)
Agreed that the cement job does not come to surface it is just part of picture. Don't get me wrong I love your presentation. Great work. You know your stuff,;thanks for sharing and explaining. Old frac rat here, worked on many hundreds of wells in Wyoming, Utah, Montana. I saw everything from 17,000 psi on the well head to screaming vacuum after one pumped into them. Once the well lost fluid height they would turn around and come back at us . Those were the days of my youth!@@DownholeDiagnostic
Redhead actually makes a 300-inch conventional pumping unit.
Greatly explained, i have seen people explain about this theoretically but you are the first one to explain in detail practical ways. Appreciate it.
Thank you very much for your content. The videos are excellent
Thanks! Consider taking the full course sometime. There are additional free videos if you sign up for the free preview of the course on the website. Cheers!
excellent! Great Content!
Muchas gracias por el contenido. Saludos desde Argentina
I remember a few of these when I was in Colorado but none of them were running that I can remember. I've heard these are a pain to work on.
Weres this located at seen one like this in Kansas
West Texas. You will find many of these units wherever oil production intersects with farmers. The units do not have long stroke lengths (usually 86" max), so they are only good for shallower wells (<7000') and wells that do not make much fluid.
@@DownholeDiagnostic really I worked in west texas for a while never seen those
It is only used in a farmers field that has a crop pivot that rotates around and waters the plants. The PPU has to be short in height so the crop pivot can pass overhead
@@DownholeDiagnostic this in Texas?
You mentioned that a lot of horizontal wells don't use rod systems. I'm curious, what systems do they normally use?
Since a lot of them are pad drilled (many wells on one pad right by each other) and the wellbores are not very straight, rod pumping is more difficult due to increased failure rates. Many of these horizontal wells start out with Gas Lift as the artificial method, or ESP (if it makes less gas and has a higher water cut).
esps when they start off till they pump off then gas lift normally then end of life rod pumps
Question for the masses, Why does a hole in the tubing result in high PIP?
If you have a tubing leak, the well will stop producing fluid to surface, so the the PIP (Pump Intake Pressure) will rise as the fluid level rises in the wellbore.
Thanks man! I can't wait to take these classes.@@DownholeDiagnostic
please upload all lecture video on UA-cam. I'm always waiting for your videos ❤❤

@@DownholeDiagnostic Do you have any idea if you can watch the course videos with Spanish subtitles?
@@GonzaloRodriguez-cj4my That is a great idea, but unfortunately not yet. I will see if I can look into that sometime in the future and see if I can get some sort of AI software (Chat GPT type) to maybe translate and subtitle it, but I would not expect that anytime soon. Mucho amor mi amigo
Please don’t. I paid for this course. 😂

This is a great channel. Thanks for the insight. Been a lease op for years. I’m hoping to become a well tech before long. It’s time to take the next steps.
Been there. No fun.
disculpa, donde puedo conseguir modelo 3d de la rotaflex
Fascinating thanks.
Another beamless unit they often call a _Cricket_ or a _Grasshopper_ because of the way the head and linkages are directly connected to the cams instead of utilizing a beam in-between...
