I was also working on propguard types of Quad FPV. I was Converting from non propguard to Propguard version. And havebeen dreaming skydio with propguard 3 Years ago, would build one, untill now none. But skydio is quite expensive, Luckly i search as today DJi build Neo, and i like it, But i found to seek Skydio version to do that, There is your video here. Since you only get 30 minutes of run time on the drone, get rid of one of the radio batteries. Move the remaining battery to the center and power both radios from it. Also, the antennae’s need to be vertical when in flight for best performance. Run a couple of SMA to BNC pigtails and some lightweight Comet BNC dual band antenna. Avoid 1/4 wavelength intervals between antennas. You might even consider gutting the radio internals all together to lighten the load as well. Good looking concept, though.

Having done this I used a TYT UV8000E single radio that has built in crossband repeater, think it was about 260 grams, air 2s dji, used a drop assembly for attachment from amazon,, flight time was degraded to about 15 minutes,, also a note antennas need to be vertical or your gonna lose 30db of signal,,, great work tho,, 73s

an other limitation is that in universe rail guns are devastating to the point that they will 1 shot most of the time against the smaller ships like the stealth ships, but in nebulous they basically just cause debuffs or are long range HE shells. you'll need more than a few hits just to do damage much less critical damage.

This looks like a good way to get you in trouble and pay a lot in fines. The distance that RID broadcasts is not very far. Chances are that someone that can see the RID info is already close enough to locate you even without the info.

honestly i dont believe you will ever get this to fly at night as those added lights are just going to blind those sensors,skydio are working on this now,i have been in contact with them numerous times as an owner of the 2 plus myself and this is one thing they are working on doing for us as most owners do want to be able to fly at night,another thing they should do is give us an actual zoom feature instead of making us pay a yearly fee to be able to use a zoom on a drone that we paid a premium price for.

For weight reduction, you might try Argent Systems ADS-SR1 Repeater system. It only uses one radio and has less wt.

You might be able to take down the weight quite a bit by using two SA818 modules instead of full handhelds. It might give you some more configuration options as well.
