Fellow Accord Wagon owner here! I see the old thread from previous commenter, but I'm going to ask anyways, you interested in selling these lights? Or providing some more photos since they are no longer on the older forum post. Thanks!
Theoretically speaking, this may just be the one perfect car for the streets. Yes, it is quite dated, but it is in the era where things had just the right amount of tech, allowing easy service and less troubleshooting required. It also performs really good for its class and age. It is also very comfortable and user friendly. And this was also the golden age of Honda; many Honda’s from the 1990s just haven’t given up. So to conclude, this Accord, in theory, is the Perfect car because it manages harmony- note the name- between practicality, performance, and ease of maintenance. That’s not the only reason that this is my favorite car over every other newer car, but I grew up with one and we forgot to insure it after an accident, forcing us to scrap the car. Not only is everything about the car nostalgic, but is just seems to suit me. I miss that Accord, and it will keep haunting my dreams until the day I get my hands on the wheel of one.
Oscar Santoyo you have to build them, here’s the link: www.hidplanet.com/forums/forum/general-discussion/leds/29291-my-led-tail-light-retro-on-my-5th-gen-accord-wagon
My father had one of these he got for free from the original owner, his sister. 180,000 miles on the clock when the odometer stopped working, over three years later it was totaled by the insurance company after someone ran into him. Easily well over 200,000k but no real way to tell. It still ran, shifted and drove just fine when the tow truck came to take it away. I’d love to find a semi-decent example of a bone stock mid 90s Honda, and I’d drive it with no worries what so ever.
Josh0718 Same story here except ours was a 97 only at 130k- three years ago, right after getting renewed and brakes changed, my dad was behind another car, going downhill at 30. The car in front slammed on their brakes, and my dad stopped too late. Yes, it was too, functional, but the radiator and front chassis is what totaled it (plus we had no insurance on it...) And it wasn’t until a year after that I realized how good of a car it is, and I looked into getting that car back and refurbishing it, which is what got me into cars. And above everything, that car is my top favorite over any sports car you could hand me. I like the balance of practical and performance
HF Daydreamer i want to buy an ex 2.2 1994 non vtec sedan with 164k km on it, but i was wondering that, the acceleration if it was fast too even without vtec. And the consume, is it good? Thank you for your comment bro!
actually back then car companies weren't really putting a lot of horses in cars you can always put a bigger super charger or turbo at tht hell the rest of y'all pussies in this world have to have one.💯
i love the thing.. its a piece of history. the old 302's are slouches from the factory 215hp, and that centrifugal supercharger is pushing very low boost, 5lbs... maybe 5.5lbs? if you put a good set of flowing heads, bigger cam and good intake with smaller pulley and tune i bet 475bhp from that 302.. im building an 800+ hp pushrod 302 based motor.. its not a factory block or stroke of course but its still a ford 302 casting. and yes im building it so its steetable
Mr. Kyptik I also enjoyed this show (Motor Trend TV on TNN the Nashville Network) as well. This originally aired between 1996 and 1998. It was what replaced Road Test Magazine which was hosted by Larry Black and “Big Daddy” Don Garlits.
I drive a bone-stock '94 Accord DX coupe with a manual 5-speed transmission. I am only the second owner and it has just 62K miles on the clock. Some of my friends tell me that I should "mod it up" but I just laugh at them. It's not a performance vehicle. It's a gently used old car that has a ton of life left in it, and I'm not going to mess around with it.
I agree, the Mercedes tail lights are nice. I'm happy I have a 95, because it's the last stylish car they made in the 5th gen Accords. The emblem on the hood is nice. The emblem on the grill is too reminiscent of the 4th gen. The best designs from Honda never have grill emblems, because it's not streamline. Take the NSX, CRX, Del Sol, and S2000 for example. None of them have grill emblems, because it looks hideous on a Honda most if the time. Look at the brand new Acuras with the enormous grill emblem trying to be a Mercedes Benz. It's not a Mercedes, it's an Acura, it looks clumsy. The Accord hasn't looked proper in years. The 94 and 95 is a genius design. It's beautiful, including the vinyl headliner. The newer Accords are a great design, reminiscent of the 5th gen. Cleaner and the slimmest they've been in years. They've been clunky and huge for years. Tell me why 03 V6 Accord Coupe has the same curb weight as an Accord Wagon. Yeah, THEE WORST DESIGNS for years. The Accord was like like bastard cousin of the Civic who had it for herself years ago, but gave up on life and started to gain a lot of weight.
The v6 is a bit more costly but it’s worth it, I had a 4 cylinder and could barely make it up the hills even when I was flooring it but when I got the v6 it made a better difference
mack cummy surprise! This was also when Jeep introduced only for ‘98 (the year this aired on TV) the predecessor to the SRT and later Trackhawk Grand Cherokee; the Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited. High performance SUVs were fewer back then than they are today.
LOL, the host/narrator has gotta have the driest sense of humor I've ever seen on tv. Even funnier is a lot of the things he's saying was pretty acceptable back in 1998.
Yes he did. Jim Scoutten's dry humor is in stark contrast to today's presenters with "wet" senses of humor. HA HA HA HA!!!! Sorry, I just felt like saying "wet sense of humor".
Addvit well ford isnt bankrupt unlike chevy. Ford outsells silverados and camaros with the f150 amd mustang. Even stopped chevys camaro production yet again
They should've made a 240 hp turbocharged HD 4.0L Sohc motor with not a 5 speed but a 7R75E auto trans with a extra gear before 1st gear and another gear between the 3rd and 4th gear of the 5 speed auto, now that would be fast.
proof that DOHC 5.0 v8s were far superior to that old cast iron pushrod lump of shit even the 4.6's were much better. but in defense of that old 302 it was meant to be a low revving torque engine for a truck not something rev happy and free breathing and when reworked can make a lot of power.
Thats a 1997, look at the hatch
I’m here after watching Doug DeMuro.
Fellow Accord Wagon owner here! I see the old thread from previous commenter, but I'm going to ask anyways, you interested in selling these lights? Or providing some more photos since they are no longer on the older forum post. Thanks!
There's one on fb market for $6700! Didn't know they existed lol
Did y'all know that ford almost made a ford lighting expedition
I guess 7.4 was good foran SUV back then.
I expected it to be faster tbh. Must be the transmission
It made 285hp, so like 220whp and weighed over 4000lb. It was quick for the time.
My dad buy this car back in 2001 in puerto rico
Crazy how our standards of fast have changed over the years. Still love to have one to stick a supercharged 5.4 in it and make it look factory.
powerdyne supercharger!? I bet if they used a Mustang cam and a kenne bell supercharger they could've got over 300hp
I have a 94 lx coupe (manual) with 250,000 miles, still going strong....just regular check-ups and oil changes .....
I’m looking for a body kit for my explorer
My favorite Accord ever!
Well it’s my all time favorite car ever
Another sweet rare car i would love to find for someone!
This is IMO the last great era of the Honda Accord's, I thought Honda peaked with this era of the Accord.
Are these worth any money now. I know a lot of Saleen Mustangs hold their value pretty wel
They are rare. The issue is that they dont make replacement ground effects. So if something breaks thats it. So i believe they do hold their value
They can be had for from $15-20k. There's one on Facebook marketplace for $14,999 with 150k miles on it.

I’m looking for those exact tail lights how can I get a set?
Oscar Santoyo you have to build them, here’s the link: www.hidplanet.com/forums/forum/general-discussion/leds/29291-my-led-tail-light-retro-on-my-5th-gen-accord-wagon
Is just me or my 2007 Toyota Corolla looks like this car a little bit
SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD how a 5.9 jeep grand cheerokee is quicker

Holy crap the 80s ness
mid 90's
300K miles later and I'm now the 3rd owner of a 95 Accord. These things are bulletproof.
That Honda Accord is a Doormans acura
Which one goes from 0-60 mph in 8.9 seconds? The non vtec tested or de vtec?
Nicolas Macchiavello probably non-VTEC
Yeah it's 100% non-VTEC
So it is the vtec or not vtec? 😁 Thank you both for your answers
HF Daydreamer i want to buy an ex 2.2 1994 non vtec sedan with 164k km on it, but i was wondering that, the acceleration if it was fast too even without vtec. And the consume, is it good? Thank you for your comment bro!
My aunt purchased this car back in 04 to this day still going strong
actually back then car companies weren't really putting a lot of horses in cars you can always put a bigger super charger or turbo at tht hell the rest of y'all pussies in this world have to have one.💯
looks like the car in american dad when stan starts street racing lmao

I think it's a damn work of art, and I must have one.
the best car I've ever owned. and I was the 3rd owner.
I love Honda Accord is best car of Honda, wagon is my favorite
Is this a motorweek ripoff?
Hello There old school. Car and driver tv show from late 90s early 2000s. I used to watch it every Saturday morning when I was a kid
Mr. Kyptik I also enjoyed this show (Motor Trend TV on TNN the Nashville Network) as well. This originally aired between 1996 and 1998. It was what replaced Road Test Magazine which was hosted by Larry Black and “Big Daddy” Don Garlits.

Good on you !
Keep it as Long as you can! It's hard finding clean stock old accords
Their more reliable stock.
That’s awesome it’ll last another 20 years legit if you take care of it. Good luck and enjoy.
The last accord before the v6 came in 98. But the tail lights went too plain in the rear

My favorit car from Off-Road on the PS1
Why does that Accord use struts on the trunk but other later ones have those goose neck ones?
mack cummy decontenting/price savings
Facelifted versions
Probably different trim levels
Also, another key difference the EX has: the LX and DX have rear drum brakes; the EX has all disk brakes
Really like those models!!
This is one of the longest lasting compact cars of all time.
+Skyline Fever my friend from high school still has hers pumping hasn't bought another car yet.
Had one with a h22a swap down pipe short ram intake chipped p28. Fucking loved it and miss it. 1994 e xr accord
The hp jump to 135 in 96
A very reliable car.
That model year was my first car
I miss the way C&D AND MT were back then now its just young dudes wining about Bluetooth and backup nannies..
nailed it!
I didn't know this existed.
mack cummy Mandela effect lol
mack cummy There was actually a Saleen Focus & even a Ranger too.
mack cummy surprise! This was also when Jeep introduced only for ‘98 (the year this aired on TV) the predecessor to the SRT and later Trackhawk Grand Cherokee; the Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited. High performance SUVs were fewer back then than they are today.
@@2H2521 I heard of Saleen but only on the Mustang.
@@2H2521 I think I remember the Focus.

My first car!
$41,000 shitbox..
Ford is still a pos.
Lemme guess? You're a Chevy or JDM Fanboy...
Nice FJ loser. So glad no one bought that crap and toyota stopped making them
Not gonna lie I am a ford guy, but I love the fitment on that gardener truck ;P
Jeff R nah every other company accept ford is a pos

285hp out of a supercharged v8? pitiful.
since that v8 was fords pathetic 215hp 302 from the early 90's to start with not really.
Yeah back in 1998, BMW's N/A 302 V8 was 394 hp. Ford managed to get 412 hp in 2010.
proof that DOHC 5.0 v8s were far superior to that old cast iron pushrod lump of shit even the 4.6's were much better. but in defense of that old 302 it was meant to be a low revving torque engine for a truck not something rev happy and free breathing and when reworked can make a lot of power.
I have one-you can find a few videos of it on streetfire-ive had 2 at one point
Do they handle good?
