Quite a project, suberb job.
Hi dear sir.very nice model and fligh video....Sir Tell me what e Power set up used? Thank you lot.
Thank you Jannovak2234@. I used EMAX GT3520/05 925KV motor with 12x6 prop and 4s 3300mAh Lipo
@@gilsmetana5288 thank's,,, pull oky ,long vertikál climb?
Sweet little plane! I like OSMW kits. I just finished a GHOST. Weather has been crap so haven't maidened it yet. Powered by K&B .40. I was looking for something to build that would be an every day flier and easy on fuel. This GHOST popped up at the right price and viola.
Hi, please show me little about nose wheel mount and steering arm. I am facing trouble with nose wheel steering arm mechanism. Same kind of mount i have for nose gear. Dont know how will the steering arm equally rotate on both sides turn
Hi, Try to position the steering arm a little forward, like 110 degrees instead of 90 (in relation to the wheel). Hope this helps.
Thanks brother for your help@@gilsmetana5288
Absolutely beautiful !!! 😉😎
Thank you 😊
Amazing craftsmanship! .... Congratulations! .... it must have been a hell of a project ...I am sure it felt like eternity to get it done.
Thank you mrn1200, I enjoyed it most of the time:-)
Nice, my third R/C plane was a Goldberg Skylark 56 with a K&B .40. Flew it for a year every weekend I could till a failed receiver battery claimed it.
Well executed and beautifully flown.
Thank you @klxmaster14
Very nice, well documented. Thanks.
What is your CG please and what is the RTF weight? Thanks
Hi, CG is 74mm from the center wing’s leading edge. When flying it felt a bit tail heavy so I added 35 grams of weight to the nose. It flies better but RTF weight is 4.8 Kg… quite heavy and so the included motor is too small. Consider using a 50 or 60 size motor.
@@gilsmetana5288 thanks
Schönes Modell,Modellbau vom Feinsten.Schöne Landung, aber der Startwerfer sollte noch üben.Glück im Unglück,der Motor hat den Start gerettet.
great job !!
Thank you Khain_Hutchinson@
Noice imma get one and have the speed control and motors for it
My leprechaun is the exact same color... 😏 👍🏾
Thanks Michael , I like this color combination. And you can’t miss it in the air :-)
Very Nice
Thanks Kev. :-)
Класс красивая модель и летает так же
Thanks Gil - great content. I noticed your servo's are mounted differently than expected. I'm about to install mine, and I was wondering what your line of thought was. Rob
Thanks for your comment Rob, It was just easier for me to install the servos like that. Also the servo arms I had were too short to allow enough length when installed inside. Enjoy the Wiesel. It flies great 😊
@@gilsmetana5288 Thanks mate. Looking forward to the maiden!!

Finally a wood built plane. The electric and plastics are ok, batteries and motors are getting better but something about building and FLYING with an Engine , yes, I'm still a WET flyer. I like running the 2 cycle Alcohol fueled single cylinder engines. It's just a part of the HOBBY. I read it somewhere, heard it......" Balsa flies better." Thanks for putting together a good video keep them coming.
Two great videos bud. Be proud!
Thank you Keltoi
Wow super super good super sir
Thank you Naveen Solar:-)
Very nice job but you ruined it when you fitted that electric motor shame.
Thank you Wayne Cook. An excellent electric motor it is! I flew it many times already without a single engine cut and without a single drop of oil smeared on my finish. Glow engines for these model sizes don't sound real anyway🙂
Awesome !! It's look so stable and fun to fly with
Thank you Mas Boy RC. It can fly really slow and stable. A Very relaxing flying experience🙂
Impressive
HI, love this model, can you tell me which brand of film covering you used for it?
Hi Jonathan, Thank you very much. It’s a lovely glider! I used Oralight transparent red and Oracover silver.
Many good details properly thought-out ma a strong and performing machine. Thanks for the tips.
Thank you East Man. This kit is a great flyer✈️
Looking good :) The Leprechaun kit is made by a member in my rc club :)
🥰
Thanks too from France ! it helps me in final glide building !
thank you for your video, it has helped me how to build my leprechaun..
יפה מאוד
Beautiful Job!!!! I know how much work goes into this and thank you for sharing. Its important to build planes with a historical background, it makes them even more special. Well done, Sir.

Hey: a very nice color scheme, building one right now...greetings from the netherlands.
Greetings from America. Gil, finished the Edge and have a video you inspired: ua-cam.com/video/drXLE6XvKBc/v-deo.html
Gil, can I ask you one more question - that may be stupid, but I'm a beginning at building. How do you hold the brushless motor from turning when you're tightening the nut on the prop adapter with the cowl in place??? Alan
Hi Alan, Usually when you screw the nut over the prop it will at some point grip the adapter’s backplate (which has a rough surface) and you’ll be able to hold the prop’s blade and tighten the nut with a wrench. (Only do it without batteries!:-) Best regards
@@gilsmetana5288 tx, figurin' it out. will post pics when done....diverted by needed repairs to my Valiant 10cc -- shouldn't have taken off in cross wind. Regards from GA, USA - it's gettin' weird state-side....good thing I've got flying to keep me smiling. Alan
Holy smokes, I"m building this now and searched for a video and found yours. LOVE it, (and especially appreciated and related to the Israeli markings). Done with fuselage and wings and currently building the ailerons. I know this is a 3-year old video, but if you're still answering questions - what kind of paint did you use for the cowling. In the instructions he seems to be concerned about paint "melting" the plastic.!!! I won't be able to do the same level of covering as you (I am 68, but a novice at building), but I really don't want to melt the cowing!! LOL. ALB
Hi Alan, thank you very much. I used a car spray can paint for the cowling and wheel pants (something like rustoleum) you can check it before on a scrape of plastic to make sure it won’t attack the plastic. Covering was done with Monokote. Oracover is also excellent. There are some good videos in UA-cam explaining methods for heat shrink covering e.g. ua-cam.com/video/4LuIcwOjkN4/v-deo.html. This model is an excellent flier I still fly it regularly. The only thing I added was some thin carbon flat stripes along the elevator’s leading edge to make it less vulnerable to flatter on fast dives. Good Luck.
@@gilsmetana5288 thank you! I'll post something when it's done and let you know!! Stay safe and well and keep flying!!
Hi Scott, Thank you! I did add the ailerons myself. It can surely fly well just with rudder and elevator but I feel more at home with both... it’s a great kit and it flies beautifully.
Did this kit come designed with ailerons as part of the plan or did you modify the design? Great looking model BTW!
nice to see, thanks. some closer video of take off and landings perhaps :-)
Hi Andreas, Thanks very much. No better videos at the moment... but it flies great
Gil Smetana thanks for your information👍🏻
Any flight video, nice built:-)
Hi Andreas, thank you very much :-) ua-cam.com/video/DUiDoRdQZvc/v-deo.html
Hi. I didn`t see how you hinged elevons. I am very soon at that point of building stage of first wing. Btw your Eyecather is really beautiful!
Hi teetsik, Thank you I’ve used transparent tape for hinging the elevons. It works great.
Shalom Gil. How do you like how the Eyecatcher 2 fly's? I'm thinking about building this model. Is it worth the time to build.
Frederick Bawden Hi Frederick, The model flys beautifully . The kit is very well designed and is relatively easy to build. Robert is very helpful if you have any technical questions. It’s fun to fly and gets a lot of attention from spectators. Highly recommended ✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️😀
@@gilsmetana5288 Thank you very much for your reply. I have seen this models on erwin beizeiten youtube channel and have always liked Robert's designs. I will order the Eyecatcher 2 today. All the best...shalom aleichem
beautiful would you use the same power system if you built another? thanks for sharing
Joey D Hi Joey D I’ve actually replaced the motor recently with an AXi 25 2820/14 Outrunner Brushless Motor V2 for much better performance. Thanks
