Founded by American composer Chad Cannon in 2013, the Asia / America New Music Institute (AANMI) is dedicated to promoting new music relationships between Asia and the Americas. AANMI's programs strive to create meaningful experiences for concertgoers by using new music as an entry point into understanding the wide and beautiful human experiences in these parts of the world. Concerts have featured artists such as Ryu Goto, Matthew Aucoin, Davóne Tines, Rachel Lee Priday, Yuga Cohler, Kah Chun Wong, Narong Prangcharoen, Xiaogang Ye, Kojiro Umezaki, and Jun Hong Loh, in direct collaboration with over 150 other performing artists and composers. AANMI's first recording album, Transcendent, which features Ryu Goto, Yuga Cohler, and Davóne Tines, sees its worldwide release in 2018 on Delos Records.

英語の方が日本語よりも正直言って上手い。これは彼が日本よりも海外生活の方がずっと長いから。でも勿論日本語も話せるバイリンガル。 「題名のない音楽会」MCの時は、まだ少したどたどしさも残っていたが、いつの間にか「後進」の指導にもあたっていられたのですね。 バイオリンと共に空手の稽古も是非続けて欲しいな。
彼は以前から普通に日本語完璧でしたよ。 番組のMCというのは、その言語の水準と辿々しさはあまり関係なく、要は慣れと経験です。 彼はNYC生まれのNYC育ちですから英語は勿論完璧ですが、幼少期から夏休みなどの長期休暇には日本で過ごしたりしてたそうですし、家庭内では日本語を話すようにしていたそうなので、日本語もネイティブ。 まあ、本人的にはどちらがより楽というのはあるだろうと思いますが。 いずれにしろ、複数の言語を同等に自在に操れるというのは、羨ましい限りですね。
