1200cfs but if you go to my Instagram our last trip was 2400cfs both trips it wasn’t supposed to be that high it just changes the day we show up but we make it work because we know this section very well.

@@angryjay06it was first light the go pro doesn’t do well in low light that why when I switch to my other camera it looks brighter that first hook up is the first fish of this video

I use size 10 hooks and fish pop off all the time hooked in the mouth using size 10 blackbirds

Blackbirds are float fishing hooks for like beads, pink rubber worms and bait right. But they also floss well with a 4’ leader, lead and an estaz egg

​​@@stevensmith2085blackbirds are sharp hooks but the reason fish cone off with those hooks is bc the shaft diameter is very thin which allows it to easily Penetrate for a good hook set but also allows the hook to easily slide back out. I use Gamagatsu straight shank Suze 10s and 8s. Much better landing rate with thicker shank

Hey when u live here like I do it looses it's energy fast especially drop back season. It's boring and stresses the fish. But most drive from hours away to fish it

With higher flows the fish tend to spread out across the river. Fish the slower slack water and inside seams before rushing in waist deep. water was 350CFS the entire time we were there. I was using a intermediate sinking line with little split shot to get in "the zone" quick. I have an 11ft. switch rod. Powerful rod makes casting a whole lot smoother. The way I was fishing is a combination of high sticking and long line nymphing. You want to feel your split shot bouncing off the bottom the river every now and again. Some anglers will use scandi line and swing flies. I haven't seen great success in that, so I stay away. you can also use floating line with a little more split shot to get you down. another thing that helps is that if you notice your getting great drifts and no hits pull out 8 inches and cast again. You'll see when I strip set that fish at 4:28 that before the strike I pulled out some extra line if that doesn't work try again in a few cast just pull out another 8 inches and cast. When the line gets too long start from the beginning. After 2 and a half days of fishing I went 16/40.
